Bears fan here. Although im not exactly thrilled about this, he is by far our best receiver and he did play for mike martz so he knows the system. If Jerry Angelo could just beef up the line a tad ( which seems unlikely, he is infact mentally challenged) the bears offense will be significantly better then it was last year.

the bears were one game away from the super bowl deos roy take them or help them to get there now? not really. knox and hester are good not great and roy might not even be good. 37 rec last year enough said.

Hey Hatergonnahate. I feel your sentiments. It wasn't the best move but it IS an upgrade if you ask me. Roy has good history with Martz and that is very important. I hope it works ot for the bears.

@Dawkins Roys helps more than you know. Roy works well with Martz, that is fact. You can't really judge him by what he did in Dallas. He was never the number one wr. He just got number 1 wr money. We tried but it just didn't pan out as expected. I like Roy though hes a nice guy. He always has good sound bites too.

I think this is a good signing. Mike Martz worked with him in Detroit and properly used him. Dallas did not use him to his strengths and I think the Bears will.

It's hard to take any numbers for *any* receiver seriously last year in Dallas. They had a terrible year as a team, and Romo was out.

bad signing by Jerry "no nuts" angelo. roy williams got cut for a reason, because he sucks. I would've preferred we keep olsen and change martz's scheme rather than sign roy williams because he fits "the martz mold".

I do agree that Olsen should have stayed. I wonder how much they are paying Roy. it makes a difference. It should be much cheaper than what Dallas was paying no doubt.
