The Texans go on the road and have a nice effort on both sides of the ball. We showed determination, courage and stayed the course. Pat White after hearing a furious Coach Andro decided to take matters in his own hands. He said " I can't let my coach down again. I can do much better than this." After holding the Titans to a fg to start the game. The Texans got busy in a hurry with Pat White connecting on a 80 catch and run TD to Grimes. That kid can really move. I initially just wanted to pick up a few yards but when I say nobody behind him it was a no brainer. Just throw him the ball. The defense again held Tenn to another fg to end the first quarter 7-6 Texans.
At the start of the second quarter it was the Demetrius Mitchell show, as he catches a 93 yard Touchdown form Pat White!!! That kid can simply score from anywhere on the field. On that play Mitchell saw the ref running and cut right in front of him to slow down the defender. In the third quarter the Texans managed to hold off Tenn again as they pressured Alex Smith. Kasey scored for the Texans on a 9 yard TD pass. On that play I knew Okoye would draw plenty attention so I just fired a quick Pass out of the tight set. We meld the Titans to 2-7 on third down. Alex Smith did throw for 286 yards and 2 scores with Moreno,clayton and cook each catching 6 passes. On the ground Moreno had 10 carries for 41 yards. Okoye finished the day with 113 yards on 10 carries and 1 TD including an 80 yarder! Pat White was 11/14 for 297 yards and 3 Tds. 1 pick. Grimes has been heating up lately making defensive coordinators pay for leaving him in single coverage. He has such rare explosion to the football coming out of his breaks and must be accounted for on each play. You wanna stack the box to stop Okoye no problem. I'll just throw it over your head. You wanna come out in a nickle, cool. I'll just shove Okoye down your throat mixed with a little Slaton. For the most part we had no blown assignments in this game and we tackled well. It wasn't easy but we got it done. ALmost forgot. Connor Barwin showed up in a big way nabing 3 tackles and two sacks! He showed good energy and tremendous effort. Brian Cushing also made a few plays netting 5 tackles himself on the day. Good Game Titans owner.
