Dallas Star-Telegram- Clemson manhandled the Mean Green on Saturday in rout to a 31-7 win. It was a rough start Coach Taylor's head coaching career. The Mean Green gave a great effort though. The only trailed by 2 scores at halftime, but never scored in the second half. North Texas kept it competitive racking up over 250 total yards in the game and were only down 7 points midway threw the 2nd quarter. But after halftime the Tigers came out quick with a field goal and touchdown in the first two minutes. North Texas' only score came midway through the second quarter courtesy of Olawale. September 11th is North Texas' first home game. They host the Rice Owls at 6 PM in the newly constructed Fouts Field. A boxscore is available down below courtesy of Jack in the Box �.
