Who can dominate a game without scoring a single point?

We've all heard of the old description of certain players in the NBA who can dominate a game without scoring a point. This is rarified space because this excludes some of the greatest players of all-time. Namely guys like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and Karl Malone. We've heard this described to guys who are either defensive aces or do-it-all point guards(or point forwards). Guys like Dennis Rodman, Dikembe Mutombo, Jason Kidd and Magic Johnson are some of the few.

So who are the ones playing today who can dominate a game without scoring a single point? Thoughts?

Rondo (besides last night lol). I use to think Camby was like that. But when he was on the Knicks.

I thought him, but he gets in foul trouble so easily you can't always depend on him for the whole game.

Re: Who can dominate a game without scoring a single point?

A few years ago, I went to a New Jersey Nets game in Dallas.

Jason Kidd (Still on the Nets) was having an awesome game setting up his teammates and keeping us in it. When I looked up at the scoreboard, however, I saw that he still had 0 points with 5 minutes left to go.

Probably the best in the league of dominating a game without threatening to score IMO.

You cant play that way anymore. The game is too offense favored.

Dwight Howard is the only one who would remotely come close to being that way.
