What the flak (jacket)?

Every single QB that I've seen in a screenshot or video of Madden 12 is wearing a flak jacket. what's the deal? (yes, it's a minor detail, and no, it won't keep anyone from buying the game)

But I just think it's weird that they would add that in to every QB this year, when they've never done that in the past. Additionally, they've really added a TON more helmet styles, facemasks and equipment this year, so i'm really surprised that they would mess up by adding flak jackets to every qb (e.g. Aaron Rodgers in the M12 demo).

I believe that the flak jacket will be a new equipment option, just like in NCAA Football 12. Also, Madden 12 will be adding back plates.

Well I think just about every QB from college on up to the league wears one. Some just aren't as bulky as the others.

Every QB wears one in the NFL they just all aren't as bulky as they look in madden. Trust me though one good hit to the lower chest from a DL would break ribs without one
