Opening packs...

I was just wondering because I'm still pretty new to Fifa. I have 2800 fifa points, and I've already opened a few packs and I've got nothing.

Should I wait to open packs (for the TOTY, TOTS, etc) or should I burn through all of my points? I'm genuinely interested to know.

I normally like to wait for specials or promotions, like Happy Hour and stuff. They periodically also have cool specials like on Christmas

I was hoping to wait until then as well, but I didn't want to miss out on the in forms and all that. But I haven't gotten anything and I've opened at least 10-12 already (premium golds). I think I'll wait for the holidays unless I'm missing something that someone can tell me about.

New to the game--so pardon my ignorance, but why are people waiting to open their packs?

Just that there are times/occasions when the packs may be cheaper, have more cards, have rarer cards.
