Try to open a new Thread for Face scans in NHL 20. Found some new scanned players in the 10 hour Trial Version of the Game and added them to the list. Please post if you find some more and I will add them. It seems that the Developers had only a love for the Sharks this year. Thanks to Stevendah to send me the rtf file and so I will try to continue and keep this new Thread alife and updated.

There are many Legends with real faces now in the Game. Will try to update during the Year when I decide to buy the game. This will be not at the release Date like it looks now.

Did anyone notice that every yr, VAN has the most faces.. and it's not even close.. Habs are Tor, who are the most popular teams in Canada, have only 8.. but VAN has 13.. each yr, they have always the most. This yr, they are 2nd to SJ.

And the only reason VAN is always up there is because Rammer loves his canucks and EA guys are big canucks fans.

This is bullcrap. It shouldn't be like this.

It was a NHLPA Upper Deck Rookie showcase about two weeks ago. EA scanned there all invited players. I hope they will add them in the next patch when the Season has started. Nevertheless are so many Star players without real and with ugly looking generic faces. Even Stanley Cup Champion St Louis didn’t get any new Player with a scan.

It's mostly because EA who develops the NHL series is based in Burnaby, BC. It's just simply the closest team for them to update with facial tech, so they are the biggest. To get Toronto or Montreal players they would need to wait for a game in Vancouver, or fly them out. They will barely put out expense for actual alumni, let alone facial scanning

So they take the local team, and the local guys (guys who live in BC during the offseason)

It’s very disappointing to see each year the minuscular updates to player faces and likeness. For a game from 2019-20 to charge full retail price each year, it’s an insult to all NHL fans. Like everyone says, nothing will change until another company develops an NHL game. Sad.
