getting old?

Even though it was Monday morning, I felt pretty good when I got out of bed because its my birthday. What really brought a smile to my face was the birthday greetings from my wife and kids when I walked downstairs.
Mentally, I just don't feel that old. I guess I don't even know how 47 years old is supposed to feel? At least I act like an adult sometimes. I do feel older physically, with more aches and pains, but thank goodness nothing serious.
Today, they are having a blood drive in my office. So I will be able to donate blood on my birthday. That also makes me feel good.
