I just watched a few highlights from nba2k and its sick. It looks so much like real NBA. They even captured the crowded reaction after a sick dunk. I haven't seen live yet but I'm willing to bet that it doesn't look and play like that.

For the most part, I agree. I think the difference is that they created a very flexible sports game engine along with that mo cap company they use which is said to have the most advanced mo cap tech out there. I forget there name but I remember reading about them in an article about NHL2K10 where that company was the focus.
I gotta admit, I'm starting to feel it for 2K10, now. The DC disappointed me a bit yet was crazy fun because I am a NBA2Ker at heart and I started to feel that 2K wasn't going to do much, again, this year, to really improve on the probs. I'm actually about to head out and put $10 on 2K10 on my way to the gym. I still want a demo, though. The $10 is STRICTLY a place holder for the 48hrs after release, in this instance. I need to play this thing to see if they really improved on it, first, because, honestly, I'm a bit tired of the franchise and lack of real improvements and since Live is very formidable, imo, this year, I'm already sold on that it.
Bottomline, 2K10 is swaying me back to them, a bit, but I'm not falling for the banana in the tailpipe (no homo) without playing it first.
