We have just posted our first look at WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2009, written by Wil McCombs.

"THQ’s Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 was mediocre at best.

It’s sad to say, but it’s true. SvR 08’s gameplay suffered from the same problems as its predecessors (i.e. collision detection issues and clipping galore). Slightly tweaked controls and bland, restrictive features failed to elevate the game. Top the whole thing off with a spectacularly boring season mode, and you have on of my biggest sports game let-downs of 2007."

Wil McCombs of Operation Sports has written an article discussing the impact the OS Community had on his decision in regards to purchasing Major League Baseball 2k8.

"The verdict is in on MLB 2K8, and unfortunately for 2K sports, the sole MLB title for Xbox 360 has not been cleared of all charges. Although I have not yet had the pleasure of taking this year’s edition of the MLB 2K series for a test drive, I have read numerous reviews (on this site and others), and more importantly, monitored the chatter here in our very own OS forums."

Operation Sports' Wil McCombs has posted his latest article, an NCAA Football 09 Wishlist.

"For NCAA Football addicts, we are in the thick of perhaps the most painful time of year. The college season is in the books, and last NCAA game is beginning to feel tired. With National Signing day over and done with, we are starting to get anxious to try out the new recruits in an updated version of our favorite sports game.

The trouble is, simply waiting for EA Sports’ offering come July is not always satisfying. Although 08 made some solid improvements for next-gen sports gaming, there were still several issues, ranging from annoying to appalling. What follows are ten “wishes” for this summer’s NCAA title, which, in my mind, would vastly build and improve upon NCAA Football 08."
