How do I say this......

EA and tiburon is like that step child who feels they don't have to listen to their step parent because they are not the real parent, even though they still hold some kind of authority in they're household....

Example....we ask for a real representation of NFL football, we ask for presentation, and realistic elements in the gameplay....we are the sim/hardcore gamers....

EA's response: "Screw You, We Don't Have To Listen To You"

Because the casual gamer and the type of guys that go on madden nation is what brings EA their money....

Makes sense to a extent....but when you continue to put out crap year after year then something needs to change....and EA and tiburon are oblivious to that fact...

That's all I needed to say...now back to the 2k(NBA) boards I go...

Excellent points SoxFan.

I'll only speak for myself. I'll be much better served next August, to keep your statements above in mind. If I'm expecting Madden 2010 to made mainly with the internet community in mind ....I most likely will end up being bitterly disappointed. I fully expect Madden to continue to be developed with the "Masses" at the forefront. To expect otherwise, may be setting myself up for a letdown.

I believe Peter Moore's vision will continue to be followed well into the future...and that vision is to broaden Madden's fan base. And certainly not to focus on a very vocal minority. It's just my own opinion but...I honestly believe the best we can hope for is that Ian & Co may be able to get "Us" a slightly bigger piece of the pie.

But here's my question to Peter Moore's desire.... what are they trying to make Madden into? Do they want it to resemble the accessibility of the Wii version? Doesn't sound like a good idea if that's the case because the Wii version has been a failure for years now.

You know what I see other casuals talking about in regards to Madden 09? I see stuff like "Wow the graphics are great!" in fact that's the number 1 thing I here. Just check Youtube. If the graphics are solid, the casuals will buy just because of that. The extra features thrown in are a plus for them, but

So they can throw a few silly things in like Rewind and still make a game that's more serious and realistic as long as the silly stuff is only optional and doesn't make a negative impact on the game.

The Wii version is actually better than the 360/PS3 versions have ever been, but whatever.

Re: Madden update information

Yay!!.....we get to here more "maybe next year", or "at least their focusing on 2010".....Just like last year when they were "focusing on 2010".......Here's to everyone getting a half assed game next year and the sim crowd still losing out......

I wasn't talking about failure in terms of it being good or not. I was speaking to sales numbers.

But in my opinion, Madden on Wii is too silly. I need a serious football game. I don't want Madden on 360 to turn into that kind of game. And from EA's standpoint being of the bottom line, since the Wii version is continuing to fail in the market, it wouldn't be wise to try and bring any of that to 360/PS3 anyway.
