No, that's the problem with the Mariners. Seems pretty accurate to me!

VC has done more improvements in a half a development cycle than that hack Brinkman and his team of losers did over the course of 3 years.

I won't be buying 2K9 because I'm getting The Show, but VC is on the right track with 2K9. Presentation and commentary is a huge upgrade, I love where they're headed with that. There are just far too many things wrong with the actual game of baseball within the game.

If VC keeps developing, 2K11 could be good.

This is a beta, so maybe a lot of things will be ironed out. I know the vid of Timmy pitching looked pretty smooth.

I will reserve judgment until I play the demo. Even then I will only worry about the game having major problems but I won't know until I buy it AND play it.

Can someone explain what the percentages in this pic represent? Why are there IF and OF catagories (if that's what they mean), and why are there OF%'s and no IF%'s?

I think the game looks great. There is only so much we can expect in a year. I will be satisfied as long as this game is leaps and bounds better than 2k8 and headed in the right direction. The batting and pitching needs to be ironed out(which is kind of important lol). That's going to be the major flaw here, but as long as they feel confident inside edge can ultimately give us what we are clammoring for i'll be happy. It might not be this year realistically. Everything i've seen seems to tells me this game is going ot have some ai flaws and balancing issues like every other 2k game. But if messing with sliders and options can at least get this game playable, that's all i ask. Everything else looks great imo, minus a few screwy animations and physics issues here and there. I know that sounds like a load of crap and like everything that shouldn't be wrong with this game is, which is probably true, but this game does look fun and like its making serious strides.

For 2k10 it looks to me like they are going to have to really huddle up with inside edge and work out the batter, pitcher tendency issues and hit assortment problems. As well as continue to improve the physic aspects of teh game and getting the game really smoothed out. This has been going on for decades and for some reason I tend tot hink they are getting close and will finally do some of this stuff.

In some sense true but that last at bat bringing Ichiro home sure was no lazy ground ball or pop-up. Seemed like a screeming line drive through the mound right up the middle to me

Also, no one even mentioned the crowd being up on its feet during the bottom of the ninth. Sad. From that vidoe, while the celebration may look somewhat wrong and subdued, I thing the crowd animation in the background when the Mariners are at bat is pretty freekin cool. I think VC did a good job with that.
