Alright joking aside... i feel the gameplay and the hits on that video were fantastic really were everything was believable i think the only thing that has me distracted is how good the computer throws i mean hope powerful the throws are.

I thought the hit variety in the video was fantastic. You got to see a little of everything. Being that it was the all-star game, I am a little surprised it wasn't a home run fest. IMO the only hit that was even questionable was Ichiro's second hit. Other than that, they all looked believable.

When I played baseball, I was a dead pull hitter. I could take a pitch low and outside and shoot it over the shortstops head. So seeing that happen in this game is not a stretch whatsoever. I know someone also mentioned Mauer's hits. If anyone can turn on a high inside pitch and keep it fair for a hit its Mauer. He is strong as an ox.

As far as the lighting goes. I really don't care lol.

Im so excited for this game to come out and after seeing this video it just makes it better. There are so many things to be pleased with, the hit variety, the day to night lighting, the players look good and overall the realistic value that VC has added to the game.

Also as a Marlins fan its nice to see Hanley dominate the beginning of the game. GO FISH!!!

Hit variety looked good. I loved the play at the plate where the catcher got bowled over. Nice collision there.

Ok as far as Mauers hits are concerned. Since we all seem to be into trying to stop the video at the frame right before contact, look at where the ball is on the hit he jacks down the line for a double. Its not under his chin like some people seem to think. The ball is letter high and on the inside half of the plate, not the inside corner, that ball caught a good chunk of plate. Letter high on the inside half to a good hitter gets crushed.

Now that weird Ichiro hit. I'll admit if you stop the camera it looks like he should shoot it to left field. But if you watch the full animation, you know the way your supposed to, he does reach out and try and pull it. Yes it looks a little jerky and its not perfect but this is a video game, errors occur from time to time. Outside of the animation the result is dead on. If you try and pull and high and away pitch your gonna hit a weak liner to second base which he did.

Well, in the Northern Hemisphere, the sun should have a certain reflective quality off the buildings in the distance. Due to the curve of the earth, and the temperature at gametime, that third floor window frame should have a distorted angle on the 90 degree corner of the top right of the glass. Once again, 2k just doesn;t understand the principles of the difference between relection and refraction.... oh well *sigh* maybe next year...
