Yes.
He didn't stop on second and in the interim of his two or three steps...the ball came in and he was out.
The first time...I thought I held the trigger to long...but I was careful the second time and the same thing happened.

You're probably queuing up the running.

You can use the right analog to point to the base you want to go to, in this case, 2nd, and he will stop there. If you use the triggers, you can queue up more bases and I'm sure that's the case. I don't have any major problems baserunning.

For sure though... the base running control scheme is terrible.

the reason xbox puts that in their games is because the 360 has an upscaler but just because people put their console on 1080p does not mean they are playing the game that way..

if you have a good 1080p tv with a good tv upscaler then you can just set the console to 720p which is the native resolution for the game and the tv will upscale for you...

the ps3 dont put 1080p because they dont have the upscaler..if they put 1080p in the back of the box is because they can support that resolution but most likely framerate will drop like the show 09

eventhough the framerate in the show on 1080p is much better then last year they are not silky smooth 60fps like 720p..no matter what they tell you

the graphics take a huge step up in sharpness but you lose the depth of the graphics like white lines not breaking and silky 60fps

the 360 can put the console at 720p or 1080p and you wont see the changes in resolution that you see if you do it on the ps3

that is why the 360 can advertise 1080p but in reality is just bluff...

madden is nantive 720p and when i play it on 360 with 720p the color of the grass is much nicer then when i play it on 1080p

the ps3 dont allow madden at 1080p because they made the game for 720p and forcing 1080p will just downgrade to 480p

720p is the best setting.....

That's it. You have to start the second motion when the yellow circle is at the size you want. The yellow size indicates "effort" on a pitch. Experiment with it and you will get the hang of it.

The game is certainly more "user-friendly" compared to 2k8 in that it doesn't penalize you so heavily for an analog motion miscue.

Knight, I corrected the post. Right stick. Think similar to the Show's baserunning with the left stick, only it's using the right stick.

The game is smooth on the 360 but I sincerely doubt the PS3 version will have the same level textures as the 360 version. Personally I'm not impressed with the game's graphics but I just don't see the PS3 version looking similar. I feel it will most likely look a bit washed out compared to this game, much like NBA 2k9.
