Pro-Tak sounds pretty dang cool

The QB Avoidance sounds cool and useful, but dont know until we try it out. I dont want it to be over successful and this quote has me a bit worried

When they hit that stick during pressure, they will typically have success the first time
Not sure how i feel about that.

Wildcat is going to be great.

The disparity in ratings, i think, will be one of the best features added. Finally our top guys will feel like studs and it will make drafting that 80+ rookie or finding a free agent bargain with a good rating wortwhile.

I personally don't mind the mashing. It seems appropriate for pile ups. But the meter is VERY distracting. I couldn't enjoy the pile up since I had to watch for the button changes & meter.
Did you guys vocalize this to them? Seems strange that they would ignore you and put the meter up anyway...

The meter seems to not only be distracting from what you guys have said but it also kills any excitement when you know what the ref is going to signal... at least that is what it sounds like to me.

I still don't understand why they can't let ratings take care of it... seems much better.

My precise feedback was "ditch the meter, milk the drama, let the ref tell us who won". I'm not sure why they decided to go with the initial design.

There were two issues with the fumbles... the meter and the camera angle (it was this birds eye view that has been used far too much in Madden games over the years and I think should be ditched completely).

After CD, this was one thing I really applauded them on. The stretched ratings are huge. In all of the games I played with the Ravens, most of my plays were made by Reed and Lewis. When I controlled Lewis I made game changing plays, forced fumbles on big hits, hurt Peterson (bruised ribs) and Reed was all over Tavares Jackson's passes. One play looked almost identical to the interception Reed pulled off against the Dolphins. Not the return, but the one where he flew like a rocket in the middle of the field and picked off the pass. I had a play like that with Reed in the game. I paused it and called some of the devs over and said "that my friends is pretty." Only thing, damn Jackson stopped me from running it all the way back. But the INT itself was a thing of beauty. Reed picks off alot of passes

Could you give an example of birds eye view?
Do you mean like directly over the pile/classic Madden LONG view/sideline view?...

I think the pileup is awesome, but with the way you said it looked, I hope that the button mash scheme works. I hope it is not too..cheap..

Exactly - I would love to see the pileup and then have some sort of rating determine the outcome. Button mashing seems to take away from everything that Ian and his team have been striding towards as far as the Sim aspect is concerned. Maybe they were throwing the arcade people a bone?
