I'm baffled.

I'm in the minority here in that formation subs isn't a big deal to me. It's been my experience that it's often used to promote the worst sort of cheese (i.e. putting a cb or wr at qb, etc.). So long as there are still package subs, I'm good.

Yea, I have a very neutral attitude right now. The gameplay improvements sound good - not great but good. Most of the features they talk about (teambuilder, SS) don't interest me. I don't mind that they don't blog endlessly about gameplay, though, as I can't get excited about that until I get my own hands on it.

I agree with you for the most part, the biggest part of Formation subs I miss is being able to choose who I want on special teams, besides the K/P/KR/PR. sucks having WRs who can't tackle on kickoff.

Thanks. I'm really starting to wish that there was no exclusive license. EA's churning out uninspired titles year after year and they sell like hotcakes. College football is so loaded with potential it's bewildering no one has taken advantage of it. Can you imagine if a development house full of talent who loves college football got their paws on the rights to make a NCAA football game?

As with Madden, I understand the restraints and limitations these guys have in manufacturing game titles every year, but they're out of excuses. Season ******* Showdown.
