I'm probably int he minority but I like the cut to the cinematic view at the end of plays, makes thigns look better.

There are many reasons why I enjoy coach-mode, but the main reason is to make the 'awareness' rating matter. If you're controlling the QB what difference does it make if his awareness is 56 or 96? You're making all of the decisions so it lessens the importance of the attribute that is supposed to be the most important rating; the same can be said for other positions as well. Playing in coach mode emphasizes strategy and forces you to acquire players with high football IQ's (since you won't be able to control their actions).

Also, playing in coach-mode eliminates half of the gameplay issues that people complain about on these forums because the CPU does not take advantage of itself; I don't even know what a "rocket-catch" looks like .

but why not just play head coach then? A game designed with way more features for people that like playing that way.

Head coach is done.

And I'm pretty sure it was what he played last year.

People who have to have skills on the stick and understand offensive and defensive scemes. Not a game that does everthing for you, but a game that requires you to think to be good. Like a video game of football chess, you know. With Madden you have to have quick reaction to a hole in the lane to be able to run through it and recognize when a block is breaking down. Or even to understand how to break tackles or which side a d-linemen is being blocked from, so if he's being blocked outside you run inside if he's being pintched toward the middle you run outside and so-on and so-forth. YOU HAVE TO UNDERSTAND HOW TO RUN ON AN OUT SIDE PITCH!

Seriously dude, you have to understand how to let your blocks develope and then turn it up field, not try to out run the D east and west or to the sideline hopeing to break a long run.....football is a north and south game. You can't hold on to the the turbo button in order to bust a long run! See as Madden fans or a gamer with great user skills we know that you dont hit turbo until you absolutely need to or once your out in the open field on a break away. Thats how Madden's run game works....

Here is a quick break down for you scrubs or people who been hating on the game...You see, in order to manuver through the line of scrimage you have to have the ability to juke, spin, truck, stiff-arm or hesitate to break tackes. So when your running with a full head of steam or with turbo held down before you get through the line of scrimage or as soon as the ball is snapped your momentom will force a bad play. So it triggers the defenders to speed up and your o-line cant hold their blocks cause your not giving them enough time to set up their blocks or for them to even form a running lane cause you got your finger on the turbo button trying to break tackles or recognize running lanes. The game just doesnt work like that. Thats really why they slowed it down this year. You have to know how to recognize a blitz and then check down...you know i'm saying. Or how to put the right amount of touch on the ball. You have to have good user control. Period. I wrote this ealier particularly for RMoody.
