Ehhhh... I used to love them. But I just don't have the time to play them anymore. What, with working 50+ hours a week, the gym, guitar practice, vocal practice, potential band practice.... I will only have time for one game to be playing.

This is the first video that actually has me excited about this game. I'm so-so on Madden, and this won't replace it, but it just looks FUN. I'm sure it will have plenty of flaws in the first year but I'm leaning towards getting it now just for the fun factor alone.

But as the producer said, Madden animations might look really stale after playing this (if they don't already).

I laugh at people who say that BB wont be a "sim" game. IMO it will be the only "sim" sport game to be released so far. No other sport game has the ability that BB has to produce realistic physics and that is one of the most important aspects to creating a sim game. I honestly wasnt sure how good the it would work but after further videos, I am highly impressed with the game play.

You can dress up a pile of poo with gold, glitter, and expensive clothes but it still doesnt change the fact that it is a pile of poo and will stink. That is exactly what madden has done for itself(and I will go as far to say that is what other sport games have done for themselves as well instead of creating what BB has game play wise)

If I come off in the wrong way or am wrong about other games, I apologize for both my tone or ignorance

This video just solidified a first day purchase from me and I intend to recommend to everyone to see any new videos and suggest the game for them as well. Countless things the game just showed are done "right" compared to the other football games that have been trying to get it right for years.
Umm yes another another game does pull off the types of graphics which MLB the show10 on ps3. If you ain't seen it yet then go to youtube and watch the trailer of mlb the show 10. The graphics and all looks so awsome and all.

Well overall I am impresses with the graphics and all. But we need to see the full game in action. I will put down a 5 down on it at gamestop and reserve it for now. But 505 needs to give us full gameplay before it is released. Them not giving us much full gameplay videos with 3 months left is making me question what they are hiding from us. But the graphics are great looking. But I am sure if this game drops and a ton of madden fans enjoy it. Then it might get EA thanking about changing up their engine for 2011 and beyond. That are EA will to buy out 505 like they did 2k sports football. But it is a wait and see game right now. But even if I get this game I will still get madden 11 not matter what this game is like. I will stick with madden no matter what.

Re: Backbreaker Video: Developer Diary #2 - Euphoria (Gamespot)

That was pretty damn impressive.

And even moreso when considering this is a 1st year effort, and the HUGE disadvantage of lacking NFL licensing. The behaviors systems in place with players reacting realistically in realtime to situations was amazing (liked seeing the ball carrier naturally stretch for the endzone). As others have noted many of the interaction issues of Madden seem to naturally disappear because they don't have to be programmed around as Tiburon has to. Primary dislikes are not enough differentiation w/the players on the field (looks like there are maybe 2-3 body types at best, all big), and the upright running styles (a little too upright). But considering this is a first year effort they seem to have gotten a lot right. If the game had NFL licensing it'd be an instant million-seller, easily imo. They still have an uphill battle imo, but they are definitely on the radar which is saying a lot. And they have a couple more months of dev time. Kudos to their team.

Reminds me a little of the first time I saw NFL2K on the Dreamcast. It was playing on a standard def tv in a Software Etc. (I think) window. Models were big/bulky, but it was so different to what we had gotten used to with PS1 pixelated football games. Animated/moved smoothly and was mesmerizing to watch. Kinda cool getting a bit of that feeling watching this video.

While it still looks arcadish to me, I think this went from a maybe buy to must buy.

I'm VERY excited about the animations in this game. They look amazing.

check the Walmart thread.... they are doing a special where you get $5 off if you preorder the game....so about $44.

imo, compared to other sports titles this game is worth $59, but I'm not complaining.

also, 505 does not own NM, and I don't think they own the BackBreaker name...they are just publishing it.....also, I don't think NM will be bought out by EA....NM already charges lots of $$$ for the tech....I think they are fine where they are at, which is licensing it to different Developers who are willing to pay for it.....and EA might be one of them down the road.
