It was only I believe 2 years ago when they released the footage of those cheesers (tourney winners) going up to EA Studios for input and they showed the dev team.

Then Marcus became involved more heavily (2009?).

Then the Wang era...err...year. (2010).

another thing about rebounding is that 99% of rebs seem to be from 1-10 ft from the rim

i rarely see a reb from the ft line area or beyond and when a random reb does go out there the offense resets and not go right away its too rare

Like that Empire of the Sun song goes, "WE ARE THE PEOPLE THAT RULE THE WORLD!!..." Heh.
Trey, I get what you're saying about them not going in a complete 180. I may have taken my comments a bit too far. At least I hope I did lol. You bring up Peter Moore and you're right, I truly don't believe he would allow "NBA Live Jam 11" when you consider what direction every other sports title under the EA embrella is going in.

Having said that, the only year that the Live series has been playable past a week (for me) since NBA Live 2005 was last year's and that was with Mike Wang at the helm. On top of that, Marcus has moved on as well. Basically, the two major positives that happened with that dev team in recent years are gone now. Whatever the reasons, whether it be a 180 change in direction or a 90 or even 45, is bad news for us. That's why I said that it doesn't really matter what they keep from last year's game for 11 because the biggest thing they needed to keep, Mike, is already gone.

Which is really sad because I felt NBA Live 10 was such a great step for us as basketball gamers. It was the perfect hybrid between the ultra-realistic 2K series (sticky movement and all) and the arcadey Live series that exited before the Mike Wang era. It seemed like NBA Live 11 was going to be the ultimate basketball game marrying just enough "sim" characteristics (plays, DNA) with a few "arcadey" traits (R-stick dribbling, player control which I felt was the best in any sports game. Ever). As such, we have to hope and pray that the Live dev team has learned enough from Mike and Marcus in a year and a half to keep that vision going. And personally, I just don't have that faith.

sroz39 - Wow, I didn't know Marcus left. Just went to his page to find he went to THQ. Interesting. Maybe the "new direction" is about a "new team" for NBA Live 11 or a "team refresh." Lol.

We'll see how it pans out for 11. I really don't play 10 much, anymore, because...actually I just don't know why I don't, to be honest. I went hard the first few weeks then the emotion for Live 10 just disappeared.
When gaming, I go with what I am feeling in the moment when I turn on my PS3 and I haven't really been feeling like playing b-ball much on it. Maybe it's because I really didn't get into the NBA season, this year. Usually it takes a bit for me to get into it after the NFL season is over but this year, the emotion for the NFL just never left. I play much more Madden than ever before. I even got "heavy" into the NFL Draft the last few days, which is NOT like me, AT ALL. Lol.

Whatever the case, I hope the Live ship doesn't hit an iceberg otherwise, I will be back to 2K.

Nice avatar! LOL. I need a Nets one that just says, "SUCK" or "A$$" instead of "NETS". Lmao! The bright spots of the NYC tri-state area pro-sports teams, this past year, were, of course, my Yankees and Jets, then the Devils and Rangers.

As for the dev thing, I don't know.

Im just telling you, posts like this are going to get you infracted or anything else where you're bypassing the language filter by one of the mods.

Had better edit that one before someone decides they dont feel like giving you a break

Yeah it was constant turnover, constant change and Live 07 was probably worse than the college game they just released.

You cannot get anything done doing what they've been doing. Yet and still the same issues have never been fixed no matter how many years it has been
