QB is finished before cuts. That's one of the things I communicated. The WR's need to explode into their routes. They look way to casual and look like they are jogging the routes instead of running them. Also, there is no way an OLB In 3-4 or 4-3 lined up on the line of scrimmage, in the box, should be able to get to a buzz zone and defend a streak route on the perimeter. There is no damn way that should be able to happen. Now if he lines up off the line at around 6 to 7 yards so he can cheat via alignment to the buzz zone then maybe. But it's this type of stuff that shows you how the game has cheats built in to cover stuff. When I see this in Madden 10 I just do like this

It is as if there is some built in design that tells the WR's to run their routes slow and the defenders to get an unrealistic sprint while hip turning to their zone.

The running animations of the ball carriers have been greatly improved. The end zone tip toe catch by miami was really good also. Transition from one animation to another looks awkward and tackling still looks weak. No consecutive hit tackles nor any momentum factoring into the tackle out come. Still looks as if pro-tek was disabled in those clips. Overall the game is showing some signs of promise.

Because this is the very thing we have been discussing all morning.
I didn't see any Pro-Tak in that vid from after the draft.

That's disappointing. One thing that really annoyed me was having the QB finish his drop, then I would have to manually move him back further waiting for the routes to develop.

As far as the zones, same thing on Tampa 2. The MLB should be in almost a full sprint, turning and running down the middle of the field to get really good depth in their drop. In Madden, they can do this with a backpedal and keep up with top speed TEs.

I agree with both of the above statements!

The running animations were improved in all of the clips they shown except for the ones with the Packers and the Giants... in those clips the running animations were still pretty much the same as they were in Madden 10 imo.

But yeah, I could definitely see the improvement.

The toe tap in the back of the endzone was a thing of beauty.
