Because I'm sure they only recorded a few NEW lines for Collinsworth, and just re-used what they already had, as they've done with most every Madden for quite some time when they kept the same anouncers.

It is like the developers themselves have lost confidence in their own game. It almost feels like they truly want to make a great game and make people happy, but just dont know how and dont have any direction.

The number one example of this was last year they hyped pro-tak as the "future" of Madden and On-line franchise as the next big thing. This year we havent heard a peep about pro-tak and they pretty much said on-line franchise was a bust and didnt make ANY improvements to it.

Edit: It is a lock that this 3 on 3 co-op mode will be a bust, and if I had to guess the gameplan feature will be a complete bust as well.
I feel ya man, I believe they have come to a point where they really cant do much more with this old engine, they have squeezed it dry, I mean how long can you beat a dead horse, you cant make gold out of wood no matter how hard you try.

huh? Go back and play any nfl videogame pre 2005. There is a lot they can do. It appears as though anything they choose to do, they do half way IE Online Franchise, Superstar mode, offline franchise or things they say theya re going to do yet never quite get there: any presentation element. I mean, everything they do is bad. The only thing madden really had going for it, was the idea that this dev team "got it" and it was out with the old and in with the new. Unfortunately, they played that card out last summer and now its time to show us what you got and they did not deliver.

I swear the best marketing plan is to go into every game release talking about this game is good but its a foundation. EA has sold this like no other this generation and Im sick of it. Its Year 6 of Next Gen football. This is the 6th Madden released on xbox 360. THE 6TH.

Im now saying the same stuff for Madden 11 that I was waiting for Madden 08 to come out. commentary, presentation, improved online leagues, etc.

Gameplay still has the QB sliding back instead of dropping back...smh I will have to wait to hear Gus in the actual game. NOT impressed with the actual gameplay looks a lot like Madden 10.

That said, Gus Johnson is still about 300x better than Hammond ever was, lol.
Gus Johnson is awesome, but this sounds like a Gus Johnson soundboard versus the real thing.

I really hope that wasn't the finished product.

I might be the only person who didnt have a problem with tom hammond. thats how he sounds like in real life. maybe the real issue that they not recording the broadcast team at the same time. the jury is still out on the commentary But so far it doesnt sound great. just wait for e3 to see how it sounds people

LOL!

You know what at23,I hope Im wrong and we dont get cookies after all this.I remember a Seinfield episode where George decided to get fired. He was determined to make it the greatest "canning" ever! That's what I hope they do with Madden 11.If they are determined to make a NFL arcade/sim/social/ad filled/online game this year,at least dont half arse it,go all out!

I said I wouldnt give any more suggestions for improving Madden but I will just one more time.Let QBs' get "hot" for 60 seconds after they complete 7 passes in a row and set their head on fire like Ghost Rider while allowing them to throw uninterceptable fiery footballs.Add selectable stadium hazards like fans throwing drinks on the field that players can slip on,moving goal posts on XP/FG and hidden injury mines.Charge "coins" to unlock cheating refs like Tim Donaghy.Put actual "tv timeouts" in every game mode so we cant play until the ad is over like with some online vids.Last but definitely not least allow us to receive in-game tweets and facebook messages on screen but we cant reply back till the game ends like Goodell said because, this is after all,a NFL game and we want to keep it sim!LOL

This post is meant in good fun to laugh off some frustration, not to be malicious. We should all lighten up and have a sense of humor about Madden this year.It definitely seems like the back of box for Madden 11 will show EA Tiburon has one!LOL

Someone brought up a good point about the silence before the snap. Maybe UT has to be quiet so you can hear the coordinator talking for game plan. I wonder if it will also take away from a lot of the post play comments.
