Revis is good, but he's not good enough to defy the laws of physics. You can't change directions like that without losing some manner of speed. For him to get back to the ball he would have to decelerate, plant, turn, re-accelerate and make the catch, or at least take a wider trajectory if it's a mere turn.

I'm a Madden fan too, but that certainly wasn't the depiction of realism some are making it out to be. I understand it's a video game and it won't be perfect and that's fine, but to argue that we see THAT every sunday is flat out BS.

It's 3 different animations. Gather. Plant. Lean. 4... I forgot the shorter steps while accelerating.

And Madden allows you to break any animation. As long is I transition to another realistic animation, I'm cool.

I think Madden's uber control kills the timing of football. I also think controlling the game would be easier if the movement was more realistic.

Revis does not need to chop his feet to turn around and catch that pass. When he was just strafing and not really going fast at all, turning around in two steps is easy. Heck, most pro athletes can turn around in a couple steps when sprinting. I play football as a DB/WR and the Revis play does not look unrealistic or anything like a superstar play. I probably won't play football in college and I would have been able to make the same interception and taken it for 6.

I'll have to take another look, but I remember him in a running animation, not straffing. Even jogging, you can't spin on a foot and turn in the opposite direction without breaking stride. I'm not saying chop his feet. Gather & plant. When moving with any type of speed, athletes brace themselves in some way before planting and changing direction.

And you also don't hit full stride right after changing direction. There are some choppier steps when accelerating.

This stuff takes time. More time than Revis took.

He took two steps and jumped, thats not hard at all. And he did get low when changing direction, or was in a crouched type position anyways. Its not like he was sprinting and turned and then jumped 4 feet for the pick. He was going pretty steadily, turned and jumped 2 feet in the air for the pick.

I have been meaning to comment on this for a while but kept forgetting to. The seats are probably empty because it's an Exhibition Game, IMO. In a franchise or direct Superbowl game, the stands would most likely be almost or completely full. This is actually a potentially good sign that dynamic attendance is in the game.

I dont see what he did wrong, this is actually one of the more realistic plays I have seen in next-gen Madden. Like I said before, when the RB breaksdown in his route, Revis takes his eyes off the RB and surveys the field. Revis sees the ball fluttering in the air, follows the ball with his eyes while TURNING upfield. Revis takes a step or two upfield and jumps for the interception. That's perfect technique, IMO.

Maybe I shouldnt use the term "breaksdown". What I mean is, the RB slows down as is he is preparing to either get in position to be able to receive a pass or make an evasive move. It is at this point that Revis, who is in zone and only responsible for that area, surveys the field as he should.

Again,I have no comment on the TD return though. LOL
