The hours that I spend with the GamePlanning feature will triple with Create-a-play. Do you know if this feature will be on the priority list next year? I really think it will expand the strategy aspect even more than GamePlanning already did with Madden 11.
Glad you are enjoying GamePlanning Matt. Unfortunately, it's WAY too early to start talking features for 12. The fact that we've mentioned career as a priority was a bit of a stretch for us.

That's good enough, but I hope it's at least a thought going into the developing process for Madden 12.

I guess that is exactly what is under people's skin.

Why should a primary game mode have to be called a priority? I understand that you guys have more to do with the game every year than just Franchise Mode, but it is really hard for the common gamer to understand why/how it was (almost) completely ignored.

Not to say you didn't do anything with this season's iteration, but it seems like Madden 10 got so much (PROTAK, Cosmetic Franchise Mode changes and most of all COMMUNITY INTERACTION).

That said, I am very happy to see you back on here and reading my drivel. As far as your focus on career modes, would you say we (the Offline Franchise Guys) will be surprised with what you are planning... or wanting to plan?

Thanks

I know plenty of people feel the same way as me.
Yeah I feel the same. I am pissed at the nose dive Madden took on next-gen but there are plenty of threads for that and dev interaction brings alot to this community so venting about how Madden went bad on next-gen doesn't change that it did. I bet Phil knows everything you said anyway, probably read it in another hundred posts. Just saying we have been here before so maybe we should learn from mistakes.

I agree.

I'd like to see the interaction continue.

Haha...wow it just so happens that I found this excellent vid by versuz which addresses EXACTLY what i mentioned (in post #131) about my offensive tackle not even laying a hand on any defender in this vid.

And ironically, he's using the same team as me:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VA8fU...eature=related

this is a carbon copy of what Ive experienced in my running game. This looks absolutely pathetic when compared to either Backbreaker or 2k5 (on the playstation 2!).****n blocking/o line play looks like a complete joke. And these are PROFESSIONAL NFL football players who cant even execute simple run blocking assignments. This looks like a pop warner, helterskelter, three ring circus...and my stupid self paid $65 dollars for it.

This is simply a broken game...sugarcoat it however you want.

Re: Robert Flores Goes One-On-One With EA Sports Madden NFL 11 Game Designers (ESPN)

even if you look at the body mechanics of the olinemen in that vid, the blocking techniques are COMPLETELY inaccurate. First of all, the linemen arent blocking as a cohesive unit. Secondly the linemen are lunging at people with their heads down, they are overextended and diving at defenders, instead of keeping their heads up and their backs flat and driving people off the ball by driving their legs and keeping a wide base with their weight balanced over their hips..their technique would be considered piss poor if they were truly NFL o-linemen...It looks like they stuck an ordinary unatheletic civilian in a mocap suit and told him to do a blocking mechanic and then imported that inaccurate mocap data directly into the game. Like seriously, how can EA not have access to the reference footage to know how to animate proper professional blocking technique of an NFL olineman? They have the NFL license for goodness sakes.
