But 74? Seriously...Finally just got annoyed and beat his head in for the TKO.

I have no interest in Online so if this is how the CPU is gonna be, i can see it being pretty thin. And i am well aware this game is mainly online focused about 98%...But if thats the case, why even have career mode if the CPU AI is so bad?

Gonna keep at it, but the AI is so exploitable even on Legend. Case in point....If you transition from full guard to standing while still in their guard, you can literally just keep hitting them over and over and they do next to zero to stop it...You take a small stamina hit, but just pause 1-2 seconds and its full again while theirs will remain empty...KO 100% of the time. This i can confirm as i have done it several times and is a go to move if you just want to end a fight. Give it a shot.
Yeah, I've seen the standing while in guard beat down quite often. In certain postions the CPU does nothing to counter the beating it's taking. While on bottom in the guard you can also knee the body until the CPU has zero stamina. I think these issues will be dealt with prior to release, though I would like to see some confirmation of the known issues regarding the demo from the dev that's frequented this discussion.

His envolvement in the discussion about the game was refreshing, and I was immediately inclined to preorder the game based soley on his confidence in the game and involvement here. Let's hope that continues, and we get some info on some of these issues disscused here.

What isn't it ironed out, they could just patch it. Because of all the little nuisances I see, none of them are engine breaking or game breaking. They are just annoying. Half of them can be avoided just by how you play the game.

I think of button mashing in the same light as I think of rocket catching in Madden and NCAA. It's there, but you the user choose to do it or don't do it.

Same way people use to exploit the baseline move in NBA 2k10. You either choose to do it or you don't.

It all fall on the user......you either a sim player or cheese player. How fun or boring the game is depends on how you make it to be. I mean seriously, like the old saying goes, just because you live in the ghetto don't mean you have to behave like it.
I agree fully

All I know is I enjoy the hell out the demo and can't wait for release day. I will be HOOKED on the online portion!!!!!

I haven't seen the dev guy on here today yet, but he usually be on here in the evening time around 6 est. And sometimes late at night I did see the other EA guy in this forum though about an hour ago, Adam Thompson, but he is more of a reader and not a poster.

I only saw the second round 2-3 times. With reversals being the same button as transition blocks you will reverse even if you didnt want to. That leads to mount really quickly and the AI does nothing effective one you are in full mount.

This coming from a guy that WANTS to play sim. I feel I am playing in a sim fasion and because of that, end up in mount way to fast. IMO its starting to feel they same way as when guys had to go out of their way to try to avoid a KO in UFC 10. I know not everyone is feeling that way(many didnt think KOs were an issue in UFC 10 either), but the demo has only been out a day.

Now at the same time........ maybe sliders can fix this.
Are there sliders in the finished game? I have not heard any confirmation.

If the AI is better in the retail version, Career could be worth it. But as it is now, the AI is so easy to get past and the fights, for me at least, NEVER go past the 1st round....Maybe there is a RD Time option....3 mins would seem better...I like some fights to go the distance...If they all end in round 1...Its UFC rubbish all over again.

Steve Bartlett here of Operation Sports.

Here are some of my impressions - a lot of it is stuff you guys touched on. I talk about the Total Striking Control and compare it with Fight Night Round 4's controls, among other topics.

I'm doing the review on this title, so I want to get into this real serious before the game drops.

Let me know if you can hear me okay, this is my first video commentary. I can turn my voice audio up if needed.

Re: EA Sports MMA Demo Available, Post Impressions Here (360, PS3)

I finally played the demo today.

I enjoyed it but had some issues with as well.

First off I'm loving the submission system. I like having to struggle to execute a submission, unlike Undisputed 10 the mini games are fun to play and it feels more rewarding when you submit an opponent.

One gripe I have is the takedowns and how very little if any stamina is drained by it. Lashley attempted takedowns every conceivable chance, which should have negatively effected his stamina, but it had no effect at all.
