Game is great. I need to up the difficulty level and beat on the AI on the highest level before I go to fight online again though. Got mounted twice and didn't have any idea that the way to escape was to parry a punch and then try to buck him off. Got TKO'd easily both times.

Picked it up last night and just got a little time to play but the game play itself is fantastic...Now just imagine if there was a way to combine this game play with the presentation the UFC game and it would be heaven

Man, I am getting destroyed online. I just can't get a rhythm going. As much as I have talked about it not being a button masher, I'm finding myself panicing and losing fights very early in round 1. AWFUL!

Glad to hear everyone having the same experiences with the game that we were prior to the release.

I give the game a honest 4/5 stars. Pull a star for lack of presentation and replay features missing.

Yea it is far from a button masher Dave. You must remain calm, if you lose your head you will lose quickly. Most important thing to do when in a bad spot is looking for their tendencies so you can parry multiple shots to get out.

Parrying is the #1 most important technique in the game. It must be used in all forms from the stand up, clinch, and most importantly the ground game to protect yourself from damage AND to get out of bad situations.

I'm really digging the final release more than the demo. The AI is much better and the opponents are much more elusive. It's not a slugfest at all. The only real complaint I have, outside of the weak presentation, is the fact that if I can gain full mount and posture up it's too easy to finish the fight against the cpu. I haven't tried on Legend yet but it is way too easy on Hard. Though getting to that position isn't so easy on Hard but still, I would like to see the cpu buck me off at least some of the times.

One thing that really stands out to me in this game is range. I love how there are fights where it seems like I find that sweet spot with range where I can be effective with my striking and stay out of danger but there are other times when I can't get off any effective strikes and I can't stay out of harms way. Range is done very well in this game, IMO.

A funny thing for me is the fact that I got 3 achievements in my first 5 fights just because of the match ups I chose. I had no idea going in but I got an achievement for choosing Couture vs. Fedor, Aoki vs. Hansen, and Shamrock vs. Shamrock.
