Wow. This is disappointing to hear. I didn't realize that there could be that many issues.
I want full control over my franchise rosters. I like to control all 32 teams. Have players retire closer to real life (instead of every star player playing into their mid 30's), give more realistic rise and fall of ratings in later years, real life style injuries (ie more), increase the challenge of playing certain teams.
It is also very important when I import players from NCAA. I would like some control over how these players ratings are distributed, since there seems to not be a very good transfer. It would be great to ensure that 6'1 225 Adrian Peterson clone transfers from NCAA to Madden the right way.
Also if you could give us create-a-player in franchise or edit draft classes then this may not be such an issue. I really just want my slow footed wide receiver with great hands in my franchise!
Wouldn't the solution be to just have an option to allow all editing? Add a disclaimer that says
"Use at own discretion, possible file corruption can occur."
The idea for editing ratings is for total control. With restrictions I don't even know what to think. Couldn't there be error check restrictions that allow force the CPU to correct....
Some things I would like opened up in the player editor screen
- Player cyberfaces. Allow us to choose from all the cyberfaces in the game instead of just the generic ones.
- Change height and weight.
- Potential (I read above, just important for lowering the amount of stars that never regress in ratings)
- Injuries (I would love to add more injuries to players since this is never accurately represented, especially QB's)
- Ability to create odd rating players. Slow receivers, high awareness rookies, running QB's.....
Thanks for the discussion.
