I'd say yeah. I got a good several weeks out of it - which is about normal for most games.

It's really nothing special, but it's good for a first try.

I just picked it up used. Didn't really like the demo that much, but with all the UFC cards I needed something until I try FN champ.

Even if I don't get into it, it'll go into the trade pile. I'm just going to do a welter or mw career crazy striker and see how it goes.

It's much better than the demo. I was reluctant to buy it after playing the demo as well. I rented it last week and got hooked immediately. It's so much more polished and balanced than UFC Undisputed.

I actually disagree. In terms of a straight up kickboxing game it's majorly flawed, unbalanced and has several big animation problems/failures.

It's not that it sucks, but it's way off in the striking dept. Maybe the way ground/clinch/stand mixes is nice, and ground striking etc... I would say that it my be more balanced in SOME respects, but would say it's way LESS polished....it has some frame issues, big animation issues, and some strange career logic dynamics. It plays pretty wonky too.

I'm not saying your wrong...a lot of people clearly prefer it, but I don't and will prbably not play it much more. I noticed a lot of people on my friends list who played it...well it didn't stay in their rotation very long at all.

At this point to a random I could only recommend a rental...the one cool thing with me as that I got it cheap AND the dude who owned before me didn't use the EA internet code, so it's as if I got it new.

I agree with a few points, but UFC Undisputed suffered from the same problems. You can actually throw a quick combo and step out in this game. You can also just have an all out brawl in the center of the ring. It's not punch, punch, pause, punch, punch, punch, pause. The stamina and damage is better imo. Could you ever imagine play a 20 minute round in UFC and getting to a decision? The ground game and rocked state are also better and more varied imo.

Re: EA Sports MMA Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here

I almost bought this tonight but hesitated. It's only $40 now so it was strange seeing an EA game on the cheap when it's still relatively new.

Anyways, how is the CAF in this game? I can't remember, but is there a Fighter Share feature like Fight Night? Are you able to realistically make a good amount of UFC fighters with the CAF? Also, how many CAF slots is there?

It's just like Fight Night, but a bit more detailed. Yeah there are plenty of pretty accurate UFC fighters on Fighter Share. I believe there are 40 CAF slots.

Re: EA Sports MMA Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here

So I bit and picked this up yesterday. Me and some buddies started up a career mode. Our CAF was Keith "Ice Cold" Stone, so that was pretty hilarious.

Anyways, the game itself is awesome so far. A big step above UFC 10 IMO. The striking does have a bit of a weird feel to it, but it's not terrible and I love that it's not arcadey. I also love the subs and the difference between joint and choke subs. Great stuff so far.

Right now I'm searching for some UFC fighters to download off of Fighter Share. There's some really well done CAFs. The only thing is that I haven't been able to find a good looking Anderson Silva CAF. Most of the ones I seen were terrible.
