I'm happy about it too, but it's fascinating how people focus on small things and what the actual game will feel like playing. I don't mind their being no walk up animation or that accessories are wrong, just as long as the game plays fluidly and the control is good.

Regarding the return of the walk-up animation, this is GREAT news to me, as it is not, as some guys here insinuated, merely cosmetic but instead has a lot to do with emulating a true feel and PACE for the game. I hope in 2k12 the AI will utilize this both in general to differentiate between teams that play different tempos (i.e. run run run knicks\nuggets vs more deliberate hornets\blazers) and also perhaps DYNAMICALLY and CONTEXTUALLY - time management in preserving leads or when down big and the clock winding down for example.
