I think the money used for having a cover guy could be well used in other areas..Put the Nba logo on the cover or a Action shot from the finals..

Putting an action shot from a game, like the finals, is a good idea to me. All the attention and scrutiny the chose cover athlete gets for games is totally unwarranted to me. I don't care who's on the cover, I care what's on the disc inside the box.

Putting Jordan on the cover was nice though since the game was Jordan heavy, but just putting whoever's hot this year on the cover is just a waste to me. It doesn't subtract anything from the game but it doesn't add anything either.

This was a great cover and it made me interested in the game when I first saw it:

Exactly, MJ is just another face in the game... By including him they are not taking anything away from the current NBA. Do you know how long it takes to create a player, give him a face, bio, and stats? Less than 1 hour, and that is talking about one person, Imagine how long it takes for a dev team? Nothing.

It's like saying don't include Marbury in the free agents because it's a waste of resources> Most probably he will be "copy and pasted" into the game. The same will be done to MJ if he's included.

I guess I just assumed the poster was asking if 2k was going to do another Jordan mode, or something similar to what was in 2k11 yet different. I know of course that simply putting Jordan's player model in the game isn't difficult at all, which is why I assumed he meant more than that.

I understand. If there is another classic challenge mode, I believe it's ready by now, same with the improvements for my player. In just 2 weeks we are going to be 2 months away from NBA 2k12. 2 months for mass programming or amending problems to a video game is simply not enough time. It's only enough for a tweak here and there, and optimizing the final product.

Does anyone know if 2K has been working on Team introductions + coach?

No word on starting lineup intros, if that's what you're referring too. I doubt we'll see it in the game.
