NCAA Football 12 Roster Glitch Confirmed, Patch to Address Concerns

Like my advisor always says, NEVER EVER add too much in at once (and put in lots of comments... which might be an issue as well). It seems that is the problem with these games. They want to shout "New new new!!!" so people will buy and we'll post for weeks on here and guys will go out for hours a week early trying to get a copy, and things occur in the shuffle and at that point, it is too hard to fix. And then we have this situation.

I'm with many of these guys: give me good sim football. Custom conferences is cool, but outside of that, I want a good game of football. Get that right, then give me some more cool things. I have not touched custom playbooks once? Why, lack of interest encouraged further by more bugs. I have 120+ playbooks to choose from as it is. I can find one to make me happy. But I can't make a custom playbook because there is too much risk for error. The same thing is liable to happen to my historical conference lineups before long, but I think I'm saved by many indepedents and small conferences for a several decades.

And as someone said, in late July 2013, how long would they have had to work on it? The same year they have now. It would help in year one, and if they took advantage of that extra time to do a lot of cleaning, maybe we're good. But it would probably be spent adding some random feature that may not be correctly implemented.

"No morphing" on the back of a box doesnt really sell video games but I digress. Also I dont know if they would have found this bug if they hired 500 new beta testers. Shoot, there are tens of thousands of people who visit this forum and this bug wasnt found until yesterday and the game has been out for almost than two weeks.

I understand where you're coming from, I do. But, it's now three years for the online franchise....something could have been added, something. I feel I can compare it when it's NCAA's now 5 iteration on it. I imagine by the 7th, more new game systems will start to emerge. So unless they knock 13 and 14 out the park, this generation, again, will be more disappointment than anything else.

I vote for pushing the game up two weeks, since we have to do the testing and all.

I prefer they way it is now. I remember one year EA decided to push back the PC release of NBA live back a few months in order to fix some bugs. Most of those bugs were things I didnt care about and would have preferred the extra two months with game. Let me decide if a bug is a gamebreaker or not.

I think its going a little overboard calling this HUGE or BIG, BIG. For me, HUGE is if it makes the game unplayable or the game is freezing. Its still an annoying issue no doubt. Also, if this really happens every year then the blame starts to move over to the customer. What other product would you buy every year if you know that out of the box there would be issues and that you wouldnt be satisfied with the product until a month or two after you bought it? I know I cant think of one yet every year you guys rush in mass to buy the game Day 1.

So then quit calling out people when they say it is a game breaker. Like I said earlier, if you stop buying the game, then they quit making the game...

Then you're out of any new NCAA Football game.
