Bulls weren't TECHNICALLY one win away from the Finals in 94 but in reality they were one win away. They owned Indiana that year and split the season series with Houston. I honestly think they would have beaten Houston in 5 or 6. They would have let Hakeem get 35 ppg and would have keyed in on all those guards for the Rockets.

And if not for huge blown leads in games one and two they coulda swept NY!

Game 5 ending was total BS Pip did BARELY touch Davis long after the shot was out of his hands.

I think they are talking about the early 90s jerseys which the jersey you posted was made after.

Good points brought up by you and Sportjames. I am a HUGE Tar Heel fan and I was a fan of the Bulls back in the day; that said, as a Tar Heel, Scottie Pippen did not foul former Heel Hubert Davis on that jump shot. The Bulls probably would have won that game if Davis had not have been sent to the free throw line, and it's conceivable that the Bulls would have won the next game in Chicago on it's way to wrapping up the series. I could see them beating the Pacers like you said in the EC Finals. However I think the Rockets would have beat the Bulls in 5 or 6. That's just my opinion, and I could very well be way off

But like I said, good points from you and Sportsjames. I think the teams close to these years (Sonics, Bulls, Knicks, Magic) are going to be a blast to play with and against.

Well, actually, unfortunately this is also what I remember about Pip in '94:

But in truth, with full bias, I thought this guy was the '94 MVP (30ppg, 11rpg, 5apg, 3bpg, 1spg):

At least Sports Illustrated agreed with me.
I had a pair of those Red Nike Flight's. Pippen 93-94 statistically was ridiculous. 22.0 PPG, 8.7 REB, 5.6 AST, 2.9 STL, .8 BLK, .491 FG%, .660 FT%. You won't see many all around statlines like that anymore. I guess that 93-94 was the year that The Admiral scored 70 something points in the final game of the year to win the scoring title?

Re: NBA 2K12 Screenshot - NBA's Greatest Matchup (95-96 Bulls vs Sonics)

I know many here LOVE the 1996 Bulls. As much as I loved this team, I can't stand it now because it's everywhere, as if other Bulls teams never existed (I still love the '96 Sonics, though). I actually loved the early 90's Bulls more, and am also going to play a lot with the 1989 Bulls and Pistons. The 1996 Bulls? Well, maybe after I get tired of the 1989/1993 Bulls.

Yessir, led his team in points, rebounds, assists, blocks, and steals. Capped it all off by dropping 71 against the Clippers on the last day of the regular season (also dropped a quadruple double on Detroit earlier in the year). His supporting cast wasn't necessarily crazy awesome though (their second leading scorer was a 33 year old Dale Ellis) so their playoff success was limited once those stupid Jazz focused all their attention on Mr. Robinson. Things are never going to work out well when your third leading playoff scorer is a 31% shooting Negele Knight.

And sure, you're saying, "Well that sounds like a bunch of excuses to me." To which I'd then respond, "Yep, you're absolutely right." Pip, Hakeem, and David were all insanely valuable to their clubs that year. I just thought too many things had fallen in line for David for him not to win. He even shot 35% from the arc! (ah-hem, on 29 attempt)
