Re: NBA 2K12 Player Ratings Revealed, Including All Free Agents

yeah u can have anyone's shot down and make shots cuzin but u can shut nash down 90 med range rating or not especially online, u caint tell me nash med shot is as good as u would think looking at his med range shot and be telling the truth just like dirk.........well terry, 88 med range but in game terry has a lot of bad shooting games, more than u would think and just like nash in nba 2k11. so if lebron is 87 med range i dont think theres anything wrong with that as long as his consistency is low. Anybody else understand............

Are you seriously basing Chalmers entire rating on 6 games? LOL

He's a decent three point shooter. Barely got to the line last year. Below average to average (at best) finishing inside. Can't run an offense. Decent defender. Turns it over at a high rate. How does that add up to a 73-74? He's basically a spot up shooter who can defend. That fits his rating just fine.

There are so many things that go into a mid range rating besides %'s.

Take for example Serge Ibaka (77 mid range) and Zach Randolph (69 mid range).

Who in there right minds would think Serge Ibaka is a better mid range shooter than Zach Randolph??

Serge Ibaka is a spot up shooter. Most of his shots are wide open, he isn't forced to take bad shots due to shot clocks and being the primary scorer of his team like Randolph.

This increases his chances of having a higher % than Randolph, that doesn't mean he's a better mid range shooter.

A spot up shooter should be a spot up shooter, don't boost his ratings just because he gets more open looks than a player who's getting double teamed and always has the team's best defender on him .

J.R. Smith has a 91 mid range and Kobe has a 78. That is a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE difference.

J.R. Smith isn't forced to put the team on his back at times, and isn't the only perimeter threat on his team like Kobe.

These are things that you have to take in consideration when you're making the ratings, not just %'s.

If you asked a coach,NBA Player, or NBA Expert who's a better mid range shooter, J.R. Smith or Kobe?? Who do you think they're going to say?????

These ratings are terrible, point blank period.

Don't just make ratings off %'s, get a guy to do the ratings that ACTUALLY WATCHES BASKETBALL AND UNDERSTANDS THE WAY 2K Plays.
I put a whole blog on here on that bs, they tried whipping out percentages on me too.
