since day 1 i have never had a problem with penalties. i also play 20 minutes though and I think this years penalties were made for a full 20 min game. Only problem I have now, post patch, is it freezes wayyyyyyy more than it ever did before for me (ps3).

I just played a BAGM game (no patch) where I had 1 penalty and the CPU took 6. I honestly don't think they did anything with penalties, but only EA really knows since nothing was mentioned in the patch notes.

I think I'll have to bust this back out and see for myself about the penalties. I shelved it because of this issue, though I check in from time to time to see if it's been fixed. But right now, it seems some people are seeing more and some are seeing the same.

Yeah, there's somethings I wish were different, but I normally get a satisfying game of video hockey outta this game. Of course I wish it was an outstanding experience....but being 'satisfied", isn't all that bad a place to be with a video game, imo.

Heck...I play the game as much as I have time for. So that pretty much says it all.

in my BaGM, after the experiencing 6 pens called in 1 game, after playing 4 games i only encountered only 2 penalties total!!! in those 4 games, i played 3 teams in my division.... supposed to have at least 2 pens per game there... but only 1 was called.

i was excited at first that im finding there are penalties being called. (im not picky... even 2 pens per game for me is acceptable) but now im finding myself wiht the same frustration pre-patch.

I found with the right settings,...that with 20 minutes the action scales itself back a bit and that things don`t get too out of hand.

If your playing a Vs style game,....then as a human it`s on you to keep the tempo of the game realistic too,...there`s lots of time,so you can break out and move the puck at many different paces.

I was tweaking around,.....trying to crack the enigma code that are the penalty calls.

I tried this tonight,and it seemed to get things at least back to where I felt I was before this last patch....as I have been feeling like I`ve been seeing less penalties called since the patch.
For example,...before tha patch,in some games someone would take a penalty very quickly after the opening faceoff,...I can`t recall it ever happening after tha patch...till this little tweaking session.

Anyway,...try these little tweaks and see if it does anything.I`ll report back on further testing.

I dropped my penalty time scaling back to 0
Penalty slider at max,authentic for after the whistle
cpu penalty slider I dropped from 6 to 5
cpu teammate slider I also put to 5
