hey as long as something ties in to how the whole "read and react" system works for each individual player. My point was that not every player should read and react the same way. There are just some guys who are almost always involved or around the play. I hope EA takes this into account somehow.

With that out of the way.....please make the Route Running rating actually MEAN SOMETHING other then determine if a guy slips during rain and snow games. I mean who came up with that dumb idea anyway ? You got a rating for SLIPPING ONLY ? SMH at that BS. Make that rating determine you know actual route running ability.

Same thing with the elusiveness rating.......It should make a player more shifty and harder to bring down.

So I hope they did a ratings over haul as well.
Skills, you and others have gone above and beyond with in depth ratings break down with videos in some cases to support, showing how adjusting certain ratings helps improve gameplay, yet it falls on deaf ears.

There ratings system will be the same, we know that.

The least they could do is incorporate all the months of hard work/suggestions by folks in the football community.

After dealing with NCAA 12's issues and EA's post-purchase cut throat mantality,
gamers have the right and should nit-pick this game to death.

We should just Get ready for the yearly ratings editing project. "lol"

I'm starting to get burnt out on all these yearly ratings editing projectssssssssssssssssssssssssss. And I purposely put the extra Ss in there because every time they release a patch, it breaks something else and the whole thing have to be done all over again.

If they simply just play their own game against the CPU, not another human player, they could easily fix damn near all the problems with this series before it even ships. Don't take college degrees or years in the gaming industry to see stuff not working in the series.

Just play ONE game against the CPU and EA will have pages of stuff written down that doesn't work at all or work correctly in this game. Too much catering goes towards the online crowd and because of that, the CPU gets jacked up to compensate for online cheesers who may abuse a certain move or play style.

And the field definitely needs to get bigger. They still using the same field size from the NES and Sega Genesis days where the characters were smaller. Characters are big now with actual full size limbs, therefore the field needs to get bigger.

They need to go to a football field and count how many steps it takes to get from the hash mark to the sideline and time it as well. Then go to the game and see if the steps and time matches up. Million dollars says it don't match up. They should do the same thing, walking from the left hash mark to the right hash mark. Walking from one side line to the opposite side line.

That way they could clearly see the field in NCAA and Madden is too small.

A global editor would go a long way in making a lot of us here at OS happy.

Just to play devil's advocate... I don't know about changing the size of the field. While I do agree that the player-to-field ratio seems to be off, I'm not sure I agree with the whole "they cover 3 yards in a step, that's unrealistic" thing. These guys ARE athletes, after all, all with different stride lengths...

I'm waiting at least a month after the game cones out to see if the patches fixed x and y problem...'12 put a sour taste in my mouth with how terriable the game was when it first came out and the unresponsiveness from EA that immediately followed

Agree 100%. The spread offense isn't as viable in this game because we cannot truly spread the field. Guys can be at the edge of the field in an instant because there is less ground to cover.

Realistically though, we won't see this until next gen. There is just no way they could actually do it now. I don't know much about programming but I would think they'd have to do a TON of work with fields and stadiums to get that right.

The field is just a layered visual covering, they still don't have any dynamic interaction between the player and the field.

Just probably need to tweek field ratio and change a few codes so the CPU recognizes the extended out of bounds.

Bottom line is that this developer leans on the Visuals to sell it's football games.

This alone would ease many of the awkward movements we see during a play.

Everything is moving within such a small box that it's all wacky and we're adjusting their
ratings to get proper animations to perform in a realistic manner.

Still begging for a Broadcast Cam from Madden to be brought over...
