lets lock into a game sometime soon and I want you to literally try and run into my receivers every play and I want to see howbig a problem it causes. would that be cool? I know thats not the "point" and I understand where you guys are coming from on that.

but you gotta remember the way I look the game is that Im not going to stand there and just do nothing and complain about the problems at hand. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. If you click on tot he receiver you can do a little wiggle and get around it.

so in recap.

1. I didnt see much contact to where I thought THIS IS GAME BREAKING
2. Wont happen every play, just wont. Its an exaggeration and a crutch to lean on.
3. Do something about it to fix the situation at hand that you currently have to deal with, or complain about it.
I know its not really a big problem if you user control but that was what people were referring too. Well maybe not quite as blunt as that but you get the picture. I wouldn't have attempted what I did there in a normal game I would of just swatted it down. However when you play someone who either doesn't have the skill to make that play or doesn't have the skill to actually user catch that throw then you run into areas where people find things like that annoying.

Also while I'd love to play you in a game you picked the worst time. School is ending and with it my access to a high speed internet connection. The only Madden I'll be playing within the next few months will be at a launch tournament come August (unless I get a good connection by then).

Re: Madden NFL 13 Video Interview - EA Tiburon Breaks Down Some of the New Changes

This is a forum about MADDEN; anyone that plays this game should be able to post here. Between the 2K fanboys, and people that clearly don't play Madden for more than a couple of weeks in September; insight from people that actually play and appreciate this game for what it is should be welcome here. -It's about time new perspectives are shared here.

DON'T BE SCARED OF THE MADDEN! -PLAY IT!

Oh, and for the "love of love"; start playing against PEOPLE! -In this world of Facebook, Twitter, etc; more Maddenites need to embrace multiplayer/head-to-head. Other genres have embraced multiplayer/head-to-head; Maddenites should be able to do that too. We have the tools at our disposal; we just need to shed the negativity and be proactive about it.

Madden is a great, fun game; sure it's not perfect, but the pros far outweigh the cons when it comes to playing this game.

For you 2K fanboys ... -Even WHEN 2K HAD THE NFL License, MOST people STILL preferred Madden. Why did 2K feel like they had to drop the price of 2K5 to $20? 2K also had the chance to outbid EA if they wanted to; they're a big-boy company too, and could've came up with the money to do so. On top of all that, I'm pretty sure the NFL wasn't too thrilled with 2K dropping the price of their game to $20; why would a company want somoene cheapening their brand with desperate, shoddy, sales tactics like that?

IT'S OK TO ENJOY MADDEN EVERYONE! -NO MATTER WHAT THE NEGATIVE, VOCAL, AGENDA DRIVEN, AXE GRINDING PEOPLE HERE TELL YOU; IT'S OK TO LIKE AND PLAY THIS GAME FOR WHAT IT IS.

Man you are amazing, good thing im grown and DONT BELIEVE THE HYPE!

Anyways, madden has long been established well before 2K, it kinda takes a lot to pull someone from some playing and being loyal to one particular brand of anything. Thats just the way the people are man!

But thanks for directly neglecting to respond to that quote I posted above that came from one of your community members. Hope fully someone will respond to it by the time i get back tonight!

its not sim, its not freestyle, its about madden players finding madden players to play games with.
It helps that I know you personally so I know you are good people. I also know though we enjoy the game on a different level that you single handedly get more broken gameplay issues addressed than everyone at OS combined and that matters to me.

Smoke, you always respond with semantics like this; dismissing it as "hype", "playing both sides", "being snarky", etc.. You're always going to be mad; so unfortunate. I guess "playing fair" means letting you win all the time, right? -Because your rants come from a perspective of someone that's an EXTREMELY sore loser. You frequent sites that competitive madden players go to, get tips from them, then turn around and bash those same players that help you out; looks pretty much like "playing both sides" to me.

Putting words in people's mouths, and dismissing somoene's thoughts with very broad generalizations isn't how you have a constructive discussion/debate. -I'm sure everyone else here can agree with that.

Madden was just BETTER. EA had basketball games before 2K did too, but 2K eventually had the preferred NBA game; that didn't happen when it came to the NFL.

I'm not about to start defending quotes made by other people, especially if I don't 100% agree with them. I only address statements that I've made, or statements from others I 100% agree with. If a site has a Madden discussion forum open to everyone that plays that game, no one should be "banished" from it if they're respectfully expressing their views.

But going off of what you are saying is that if EA does nothing to fix them, then its OK to use them. But how so if some of you guys go to these community days? Do you not ask why they havent addressed these issues and let them linger for so long as they do?

Why not you guys adapt to playing football instead of cheese ball?

I know its just a game and all but its gives us the immersion that people seek when playing games or whatever it is they do during their free time. Its still someone hard work and effort you are destroying when you play the game the way you do. But let me show everyone how you guys dont mean what you say about playing exploit free ball. Its not just about playing in tournaments, these are the every day free pick up games people would love to play when they come home from work or whatever. So just let me know if you do not agree with this quote from someone on your very forums you came in to protect...

Smoke I have already answered EVERYTHING in your post in my posts...I am not repeating myself again

But to everyone saying I am trolling or just going on for no reason on here and whatnot SMOKE started this...SMOKE is the one who is posting links to other forums and presenting them out of context UNPROVOKED.

What would yo do if OS was brought up for NO REASON and was getting bashed? Especially for something that the readers dont even understand the context behind.

But its funny he always wants to paint half of the picture and leave out other parts like the threads below

http://www.thegamerslab.com/communit...-packages.html

http://www.thegamerslab.com/communit...opponents.html

But good day guys. Im not debating this anymore, you guys think how you think and its not changing. We think how we think and its not changing so theres no use to just keep talking in circles. It is doing nothing more than wasitng your time and mines.

While him bashing the people that help him is certainly not right there isn't much he can do when it comes to looking for help from a sim site. Most of the sites out there cater towards freestyle player and a site that has tips exclusively for the sim player is rare. This site definitely caters more to the sim style than any other but its gameplay/strategy section is more or less dead. Now there is me on Madden School and I'm sure there are a few other people who give sim advice but its just not all that common around the internet.
