PS3
Overall..I love the demo. You feel the difference between 13 and all other Madden iterations right from the opening kickoff.
POSITIVES:
- Infinity Engine
- Commentary
- Graphics
Infinity Engine-
The IE is long overdue. The variety of animations because of the IE speaks for itself. I have read countless posters complaining about their Halfback running into an OL and getting bounced off stride. HELLO? That's what moving objects with weight do.
You get to see some sick body turns and bends when players get tackled.
And I for one like the after-the-whistle bouncing around and dummy flop effect of the engine.
Commentary-
Phil Simms is a welcome addition. It is really ashame that the commentary will eventually get stale because he sounds great in the booth. Nantz sounds like Nantz..dry and drab.
Graphics-
I like the size of the player models and the overall look of the game. Seeing little things like dirt kicking off the ground is nice. Also..I can differentiate between a tall WR and a shorter CB. Barden of the Giants was towering over one of the SF CBs.
NEGATIVES:
- Presentation
- Default sliders (running game)
- Quick snaps by CPU
- DE pass rush
Presentation-
What's up with Halftimes after all of these years? It needs to be addressed ASAP. Not even one individual player stat. Sad.
Default sliders-
Although I was playing on Pro..I had 108 yards rushing on 10 carries with Bradshaw. The CPU running game was rather porous as well. Outside running is rather easy.
quick snaps by the CPU-
I would like more time to read the offense before they snap the ball. Hopefully this can be included in the first patch.
DE pass rush-
I cannot get a good enough pass rush with JPP and Justin Tuck. I don't know what needs to be done. This has been talked about forever.
All in all..I totally enjoy this demo and can't wait for the retail. IE takes Madden to a whole new level. They put their foot in this one.
Kudos!
