Seriously? Are folks really getting up for the appearance of rims?

The only negative posts in this thread are about some minor graphics things, which shows just how well 2K handles their gameplay!
LOL!!!!!! The ONLY reason you're seeing gripes about graphics is because there isn't any gameplay-related stuff for folks to complain about. It's really difficult, for a reasonable person, to complain about gameplay based on screenshots. Try again. Trust me, when video of gameplay (from the broadcast view) is released there will be PLENTY of criticism to go around. The truth is, as much as I love 2K's basketball games, 2K doesn't want that type of exposure at this point in the game of marketing.

But still.. Gameplay is really good this year.
And, you say that base on what, exactly? Hardly any video footage of gameplay has been released. Sorry, videos posted by some user on OS playing a build version in 'Madden View' mode doesn't count. The moment that folks can see the game from a broadcast view perspective you will have to change your tune.

True, but I already saw a couple of things that I don't like anyway

What is wrong with Avery Bradley defensive stance in that picture? And check the play in the video insight, he doesn't even try to help to stop tony parker layup, he just stays like that and looks like doesn't even notice Parker driving to the hoop. And the scary thing is that Bradley is supposedly a good defender...

Good find - in reality the whole team would've recognized the mismatch well before Parker got past him and adjusted accordingly. It's possible they could've just turned help defense down just so T Parker could go 1 on 1 with KG for purposes of making this video.

If people care about the shoes, minor logo stichings on uniforms, the distance from the court the front row of fans at the bottom of the court, and what specific sounds each arena makes, why shouldn't they care how the rims look?

Me? I'm all about audio. I want to hear that solid thunk shots make when they bang off the back iron and in. And certain arenas have their mics in the rim scaled up when shooting FTs so when whoever swishes nets it plays really loud. The Mavs do that, and I know others do.

I think that's going too far as far as anylising screenshots. We have no idea how, or for what purpose thoses little gameplay bits/screenshots where taken.
