So now I think lebron will have closer, chasedown, finisher, lockdown defender, and floor general as his 5.

I really don't know.. I know 5 is the limit what I'm hoping for is the ability to add a 6th or 7th through hex/reditor.. Mainly for players like LeBron and MJ who were so good in so many areas

That contract he got from Houston certainly suggests he does.

Really excited about pickpocket vs. CPU. So many times they just stand there dribbling right in front of you, or you swipe at a crossover with what would be perfect timing IRL but on Sim sliders a reach-in foul is 10x more likely than a steal. Hopefully the CPU ballhandler will protect the ball better as well, but there were way too many missed situations in 2k12 where it should at least have been knocked loose and the CPU forced to recover.

Also, Nic Batum would have been a better example than Brandon Rush for the chasedown block skill

are you thinking of the kind of block, where, the word that describes the block itself rhymes with the word block?
Then, perhaps, if one was a stiffler for authenticity, one would say punch instead of block?

mmm quite

The first thing that struck me with the "mathematical stuff" was that I was reminded of the NBA Live 06 "Superstar Controls" or whatever they were called.

I hope that playing good defense plays a huge role in impacting the percentages.

I'm not sure about that dimedropper thing. Getting a pass from a good PG doesn't raise the percentages because who the passer is. Rather, good PGs get the ball to the player in situations where they can be most efficient -- and the best PGs find ways to do this even in weird situations.

For example, in that video, if Ray Allen receives the ball in the corner while open, it doesn't matter who makes the pass. The end result is the same -- he's open in the corner, and he'll probably make the shot.

What separates Rondo from other PGs is that he could actually MAKE that pass, given his position under the basket. If ever, the "Dimes" sig skill should affect pass success more than shot success.

Conversely, if Nash dropped a dime to me in my favorite hot spot but i had to catch the ball behind my ankles that would for sure affect my %age, no? (assuming im a spot-up shooter)
