the game look good, plus I liked the faces, it feels like they improved a lot the gameplay and the animations, I hope they improved anmations for creat a player as well to My player.

just my 2cents / a list of why I'm hyped for this mode:

1) Crew is gone for another year. We gotta get passed it lol. 3on3 online is a
sweet consolation prize. This means there IS a end-game / reason to play my player this year, unlike 2k12. Take that passion for Crew and put it in the wishlist for 2k14.

2) 3on3 is more humans less cpu involvement. I'll take it! That's how it should be. That's the whole point remember? No CPU. May the best baller win without the help from the CPU, without cpu plays, without cpu double team. Everything should be manual in a manually controlled mode. Lovin it. No more CPU to bail out those who can't hang. Why would I want a Bot teammate in a manual / organic mode? Even crew there were too many bots and it was usually 3on3 humans + 4 bots. This will truly be a all-human mode. Lovin it.

3) One way of looking at 3on3 online is as one season-long recruitment of finding the best ballers for 2K14 - which should have crew. 3 yrs is enough time to fix something that was in the game before. If crew ain't in 2k14, that is NBA Live's only angle at getting some of 2K's fanbase.

4) 3on3 it won't just be randoms, you can invite your friends. This will mean finding a game quicker because you only need to find 2 other guys. + there'll probably be the regular quick matches.

5) Less quitting. Unlike teamup of 2k12, 3on3 ensures more involvement in the game, not getting stuck with Kendrick Perkins, and hopefully an incentive to complete the match such as VC points.

6) Variety of positions. Short teams, tall teams 7ft SF, etc. Not so sure that everone will use 7ft sf's. A big center can dominate the paint and glass which will be a huge advantage if it's half court. Definitely gonna need versatile players for this mode.

anyway, sucks that crew is out again but this game's online features are already better than 2k12, and the gameplay looks like this could be a classic. lookin forward to playing my player again and bringing him online - with all the customizations this yr and kikin some A online.

I think 2k is running low on ideas and next year wont be as innovative so they kept mycrew in the pocket just in case, but 3v3 looks fun.

I hope that you're right, but sometimes it's hard to be so optimistic. Last year I wasn't thrilled that crew wasn't in, but at the same time I was ok with it because I still enjoyed 2k11. Now that they've shut the servers down that option is gone. The Blacktop mode sounds like an NBA Jam type mini game of sorts, I'm not expecting much depth to the mode. Maybe I should just see the glass as half full like you.

You can hate the mode - but people haven't even given it a try.

I can tell you I was excited about crew as anyone was two years ago (especially considering I had the game early) but once I saw what it became, it was a waste. And that's not because of the online issues or servers... it's more so how easy it was to ruin the game.

Team-Up last year was a bit more solid but it also had nagging issues. I tried the 3 on 3 but couldn't get into it with the stylized graphics.

I'm hoping 3 on 3 this year is the basis for something good. If it is, then it's going to make the cries for crew to return even worse... but I think we should at least give it a shot first.
