Can't believe the Jays players are still wearing their old caps in the head shots....

The colors are definately better, but I agree other than that it is the same game. 2k12 post patch was a really solid game though minus some of the animation quirks. 2k has always been weird with their robotic animations though. I can kind of see them saying this is end of gen, we are just going to slap a new coat of paint on it and call it a day. Where this game is going to suffer though is the show added new features like post season atmosphere. Usually with a full dev cycle 2k keeps up with the features and modes. I tend to think this year is going to suffer in that area because of the lack of development time.

For people who want a solid baseball game this game will do the trick. I just don't think this game justifies $60 if you have last years.

Or that they don't even have a picture of Miguel Gonzalez. I'm trying to figure out how it was so easy for MLB 2K12 modders to put new pics in the game last year, but a year later the game developers can't manage it.

Also, I'm still waiting to see if the CPU pinch-hits for pitchers in NL games. If that hasn't been fixed, man oh man.

Doesn't look as bad as some people are making it out to be. Don't judge a book by its cover. Yes, the competition beats 2K in a lot of areas. No one is going to deny that. Where 2k has gotten it right for a few years now is the FUN factor. Most people play games for fun and entertainment. When it gets to the point you have to critique every little problem you're never going to be satisfied.

I probably won't buy this game, simply because I'm satisfied with 2K12 at the moment, but some people really should give the 2K series a try before calling it terrible based on a video or screenshots.

I have 2k12 and have watched that video quite a bit. If you get immersed in the game this game is pretty to look at. I sometimes think I'm the only person who thinks that with everyone who bashes the graphics. But 2k baseball is not as bad looking a game as people make it out to be.

It's a good looking game. I think with inside edge and the commentary. The gameplay has always felt very immersive and loose to me as well. Difficult to explain but it seems like you have control over everything on the field. Nothing is scripted. The Show to me was always the logical progression to MVP baseball. 2k has always offered something different. Some people prefer meters. I prefer the pitching in 2k. I also think the game looks good. I am a bit disapointed this year though. I really though this would be the year they iron out all the animation quirks. But maybe that's just one of the drawbacks of everything being in real time and random. The game seems to play really smooth though.

nba 2k13 gets 9's for reviews when their baseball game really isn't much different. I think it's just as good as their nba game. Maybe slightly worse.

Yeah the show looks amazing but that doesn't mean 2k13 looks bad.

I enjoyed 2k12 and will always support 2k regardless if I do not agree with the price for this year's game. I've been supporting them for years. While they don't have the best graphics compared to other games; they've offered me countless hours of FUN. Which is the most important factor to me in what games I purchase. The video confirms that they have atleast tone the smoothness of the gameplay. Looking forward to gettting the game in my hands tomorrow.
