That's not a fix and there's gotta be a better answer than that. Imagine playing Madden and having to intentionally run out of bounds on the 2-yard line to prevent yourself from scoring a TD. That would be considered a broken game.

LOL..I second that Yeats. I hope that they can patch this glitch along with the jogging glitch. It wasn't that bad in 2k11, because there was more urgency in players. I think they messed up when they put in the cancel throw feature. It might have messed up the coding in some way

Yes, which is why I've said several times that 2K11 is the pinnacle of these series, and why I play it instead.

I know it's not ideal but like I said what else are you going to do, that is a gameplay bug that's not going away. I still contend though that a ball you hit in the gap isn't an inside the park hr. "ever" so just stopping at 3rd doesn't seem to severe of a house rule.

As far as a patch... don't hold your breath, 2k13 was the patch!

I hear you, and if you see the CPU glitch out, by all means stop running, that makes sense. NFL 2K4 had a DB angle glitch where the CPU DB would take bad angles near the sideline every time, allowing you to scoot along the sidelines untouched. For something that obvious, house rules apply definitely.

All I can say is that using BFNJ's sliders, I don't have problems with hitting inside the park home runs. But then, it never occurred to me to sprint home because I thought the CPU would glitch and not throw me out.

But I have been thrown out at home. I have been thrown out at second by the cutoff man when I try to take the base, thinking they were throwing home.

I would call this more like not throwing the Four Verticals all day because you know the CPU can't stop it, and running up 1000 yards passing every game. Yes, I can do it, but it is choosing to take advantage of the AI.

it takes away from the immersion of the game in a sense. The same goes for other sport titles like Madden with the lack of pass interference penalties when u know u should have one and NBA2k12 last year with the no defense in the paint. These things should be in there, if I'm rounding third and heading home, the CPU cutoff man if he has the ball should see that situation and fire the ball home trying too get me out. It can be done, because MLB2k11 did a fine job with that and pursuit of the ball. So I don't know what happened in the development cycle that caused this. I honestly think they messed up something when they added the cancel the throw feature in 2k12. The game have been jittery since in the fielding aspect. Hopefully they can patch it and its not in the coding.

Forgive me for reviving an old thread here, but I can shed a little more light on this inside the park home run business. I'm playing MyPlayer mode (I'm a right fielder), and it seems like almost half the time a double is hit to the wall it results in an inside the park home run. I'll field it as usual and throw it to the cutoff man. Usually the runner is near 2nd base at this point, sometimes on his way to 3rd if it was a triple. Once the runner makes it to 3rd, he stops for a moment, and I assume the play is over. The runner will then take off for home, and the cutoff man will just hold the ball until the runner makes it at least halfway to home, and then throw the ball. This leaves no chance to tag him out.

It seems to happen once every few games, and it has now happened back to back games in this playoff series. It already cost me one game (the game went to extras and wouldn't have if the inside the park hr never happened). I just don't understand how this wasn't discovered in testing, as it is happening so often.
