If they just made the AI on the ice and the team management AI better, it could be a vastly improved and fun game mode with nothing else added.

Couldn't agree more. Adding these add-on is an attempt to make up for the AI.

I agree with You here. Like I said before, this sounds like their target group is kids below 10 years of age. I'm extremely disappointed that the AI has not been given the needed attention and resources. Well, I'm ready to give up on console gaming anyway. FHM2013 is my pick this year.
