If the user wants to jack up threes with Meyers, I think at least SOME should go in. If the user shoots 10 threes with Leonard I believe more should go in than if the user shoots 10 threes with Perkins, for example.

A little support for his shooting:

There is a good quote in there from Stotts showing confidence in his outside shot. Expect him to shoot some this season.

Fine, you don't have to agree with how I adjusted him in my roster. But this is where I'm coming from. I don't think it's unreasonable.
I will say this he has shown signs of being able to shoot a jumper about 1 jumper per game 40% from 16-23ft, and he shoots 80% from the line. Usually the guys that are close to 80% have a decent form that should work for shooting some jumpers. However as a fan do you really want your center shooting that many jumpers?

Aldridge already shoots the most 16-23ft shots in the league 7.3 att/game from that range and he is 3rd in attempts from 10-15ft with 2.8 per game. You need Meyers in the post though my IMO.

The 2 ratings that are most unjust IMO are Jeff Green and Gordon Heyward. Jeff Green should be at least an 81 after last season and Heyward should be at least around a 77. I really am flabergasted as to how he is a 70.

I wonder if they actually have real basketball heads in there designing this stuff or just casual fans cause those ratings are pretty silly.

Also, a 94 for Durant seems a point or two low.

Melo should be around a 90 now. He showed hes not the player he was chalked up to be in last year's playoffs. Lebron at a 99 is a little much. Jrue Holiday is vastly overrated. I dont know how they get some of these ratings so thoroughly wrong.

It's because 2k looks at guys like Hayward and think he's nothing but a spot-up shooter, when in reality, shooting is the least consistent part of his game. He's athletic, a solid on-ball defender, and can handle the ball. I mean come on, he was basically our point guard last year. On 2k he has the handling skills of a center.

Does 2k even watch full NBA games or just Sportscenter?

I agree! I am so excited to play as Datome. Not sure he is a SG in the NBA (from what I've seen via YouTube clips at least), but what a weapon he will be as a 3 (or perhaps stretch 4) off the bench. Looks a high IQ player. He better be there in the day 1 roster update, but I'm annoyed I'll have to wait a month after release!!!

Man does 2k ever dump all over young centers!

Also, Is oladipo the first rookie in 2k history to be the highest rated player on his team out of the box?

Lance Stephenson- 74 OVR

Orlando Johnson- 71 OVR

Lance Stephenson started the whole season and played really well, while OJ barely played all year. So how is Lance ONLY 4 OVR points higher? I dont get it
