The copyright issues can be solved by making a bunch of generic tattoos.

They can't reasonably think this. For no other reason than FIFA. People love their offering because they have taken the time to move their game forward with innovation. First it was the physics engine. That was a disaster the first year but EA stuck with it despite fans groans and delivered an engine that fans love because its realistic. Then they listened to fans that disliked the arcade ping pong nature of FIFA 13 and added a level of realism I honestly didnt think EA was capable of. The reason behind all this, the little guy Konami kept putting out a gameplay first focused game and despite the fancy licenses Konami's game was constantly a thorn in EA's side so they worked to make their game better.

The issue with Madden is that they will try something and then people complain about it not being fully executed and instead of taking their lumps and working on it for the next year they usually end up cutting it and starting over with something else. It really seems like when left to their own evaluations they can not for the life of them determine what fans want. Look no further than the 40% drop in year over sales that Madden experienced. And that is with no other NFL game out there.

The word from past EA developers is the NFL prohibits tatoos.

Don't forget who is in charge of the NFL, Roger Nofundell.

Also, most of your elite tatted up players are black. their tattoos would be very hard to see just as they are on the tv in real life. I dont even think I can think of 5 white, latino, hawaiian etc players that have very prominent visible tattoos. so even if the NFL did allow it there wouldnt be much need to work on something you could barely if at all see.

The problem I have is ea's excuse would be "well there are so many more parts to a football player so its more difficult."

I understand the whole tattoo scenario now I suppose, but it's mind blowing why Nike gloves, mouth pieces and team specific cleats can't be properly implemented. I know there's probably reasoning behind that junk too, but*honestly these legal excuses are getting to be tiresome.

I'm with most people right now. I could care less if the uniforms are a little off or the graphics looks great. All I care is how good the game play looks at the end of the day. I thank the EA for the answers to those questions. I'm not going to cry about it. More info is coming soon enough and hopefully in a matter of weeks we will get some real time game play footage that will help us get a feel of what next gen game play is going to look like.
