The reason we complain is because at this point were tired of stright up being lied too. And being forced to play ea sports of we want a nfl game tgat isnt over eight years old.

Ea deserves every bit of the complaining. Ea should be able to watch a nfl game then look at their game and say, our game looks nothing like that.
Right on cue. Lied to and forced to play? This is exactly the noise and negativity that doesn't help anyone.

This to me is the problem. This is exactly what EA has been trying to do and its impossible. Pick a direction and head that way. You want to be an arcade/action sports game fine state that and head in that direction. You want to be a sim game make the commitment and do it. You want to put out a product that looks like what you see on Sunday then do it already. They constantly flip between directions trying to please everyone and come out with a mish mash lukewarm product every year.

My issue is they make statements and then don't back them up because it appears like they see the potential financial impact of that potential change and slam the car into reverse.

I am really hoping EA comes through this year because a year and a half of Kolbe working on the game if it doesn't show some signs of heading in a direction like the show did I personally will have to start thinking the decision makers at EA are never going to let anyone in the community make a difference and are always going to revert back to the lowest common denominator to sell the most units.

With all due respect then how does EA decide that hand towels are higher on the priority list than fixing the broken penalty and challenge system ? Yes art and gameplay two different departments but still these things have been ignored for an entire console generation and were lacking the previous gen but hand towels found its way in.

Apples and oranges. Do you really think fixing an entire penalty system is easier than adding hand towels?

I really think this thread should be shut down until this True Step Locomotion info drops. There's way to many pages of back and forth banter, and the same things are being said over and over again. Excitement has died down with the recent info released, by let's wait and see. Find something else to occupy your time. Go read a book, spend time with your family, do something, good lawd lol.

I think people need to realize that while GC might not be on OS...the sim, competitive and casual communities are still heard. Also, the majority of members visit here before going to the studio to write down suggestions.
As far as the mods, it does help them out. They don't go through every thread and on page 28 of a 56 page thread someone calls someone out.

I understand what you are saying, when you say that while CG might not visit OS... all communities are still heard, it's still shallow outcome to make us "OS" feel that our opinion is not always heard.

I can't tell how frustrating it is that I've been asking for several years regarding penalties being called correctly and it feels like it's fallen on deaf ears, year after year. And I'm not the lone ranger in that category.

Thanks for being honest, Kevin, as I'm trying to be honest, too.

One of the most frustrating things as a OS poster for me, is when a GCer is here and asking for questions, we never see them again. They take our questions and we never hear from them again.

Wouldn't you agree it would foster a better relationship between the GCer community and a place like OS if the GCer came back and said, thanks for all your questions and feedback, they've been presented to the developers and I'll keep you informed to what happens.

It's the constant in and out with different GCers and this year only you have ventured in here, and I thank you for that.

Where is the continuity and the feedback?

If you take anything back to the GCers, please take back that paragraph above. I don't think there is anything worse than taking questions and not providing feedback to the audience at a later date.

Customer service should be supreme.

Thanks again for listening.

If they dont want this kind of talk then make a better game. Its that simple. It seems es trys and run from it rather then man up and take it.

What i said is the absloute truth. Ea will straoght up lie to you. And they have.

There is zero excuse as to why games made in 2005 and 2008 play better football then a game made in 2013. Its not our job to provide ea with endless examples of what we could do better. But we still do it. Many of us have gave up.

Ea needs to build a football game. Not a madden game. Then they will get somewhere. Ive never been a madde fan. Or even a 2k fan ive always been a pure football fan. And picked the game that was better for me. I had fun with both over the years. But as soon as current gen came out the fun stopped.

When your trying to replicate a sport you must have the basic rules to the game. They have been missing/broken in Madden this entire generation and NOTHING has been done to fix that because its been the same thing year in and year out. They have had all this time to fix it and did nothing. You cant talk about priorities taking over decisions when you dont have the basic rules of the sport in the game. What could possibly be higher on the priority list than that ? Sure its easier to add hand towels but they have had more than enough time to fix penalties and the challenge system.

EDIT: imagine if streetball rules ruled 2K. No fouls, no traveling calls etc. Thats the equivalent to penalties missing in Madden.
