Totally agree Madden 15 will be the Madden where we really start to see major changes!

We said the same thing after Madden 2006 on Xbox 360 was released. Fast forward 8 years and people are still saying the same line lol.

That was really the only play that showed anything other than what looks very similar to current gen.
Actually, from that small snippet, I agree with you. At the :30 second mark, the left guard comes out of his stance, and immediately gets to the second level and knocks a LB off of his pursuit angle. The way the OL/DL engage is different from current gen, whether it is different in a good way who the hell knows, but it is definitely different.

The tackle was already made by the time the OLB got to the play there was nothing to help out on. A lot of the rest of the video looks very similar but the oline/dline interaction does not.
In real life the other defender would have at least fell on top of the ball carrier or touched him or something. They wouldn't have stopped on a dime like the ball carrier isn't their. This proves that pre-determine outcomes controls much of the gameplay.

I feel you lol it wont ever be what we want it to be when its the same team working on it every year, or until the NFL License is available to other companies.

It's not the same team though, I believe Kolbe Launchbaugh, former producer of MLB The Show, is only working on next gen Madden titles. Sean Graddy and Kevin Huddleston are new for next gen also. I think they just ported over the current gen version and are working on something special for future versions. Everyone complained about Madden 06 when they scrapped the old engine, so we have to keep that in mind. I'm sure there are some other exciting things planned for the future, but they only have been working on next gen Madden 25 since current gen released. We need a full dev cycle to see what Madden next gen is all about (Madden 15), not just 3 or 4 months(Madden 25). The ignite engine was being developed for the last 2 years, NOT Madden 25 next gen, keep that in mind.

You can see the Center yank his defender toward him and turn him 90 degrees to the left using actual realistic form. That was never done in any previous Madden. The oline usually only stood toe to toe in some stupid pattycake animation up until Madden 25 on current gen and even then they just drove in a straight line. This resulted in the run game being massively overpowered because the dline never got a push into the backfield. Even the DE that made the tackle had worked to turn the RT to get upfield to make the tackle. And the fullback comes through the hole and only gets a piece of the linebacker and not a fully engaged block. Sorry but that did look very realistic.

wow after watching that engadget video im really dissapointed. Just look how the players still float above the ground and slide into place. I was hoping that the players would have some weight and phsyics to them. If anyone thinks that this will change your sadly mistaken. Its the core of the engine, ya they updated the graphics but in the last 2 or so years they should of built a new physics based engine for next gen from the ground up. Wow i cant believe that they just ported the game over and made it look better. Its a sad sad day.
