It's like EA is trying to add all these new features but not making an effort to make the feature work to what it should be. 2k did the same thing with baseball, tried to implement too many new features in one development cycle before having them actually work and the game as a whole failed. While some parts were spot on in 2k baseball like the presentation and announcing, too many other "incomplete" new features failed and brought the game down. To me EA is on this same path, we see glimmers of hope but something inevitably brings the game to a screeching halt!

To me the only team that got this right was SCEA with The Show.
The problem is they advertised living worlds as selling point for this game and the next-gen consoles. They clearly failed miserably in that aspect. Would people still complain about the sidelines even if it wasn't an advertised thing? of course they would and they should. But since they advertised it as a selling point and then they failed miserably. Well then that is when it's a big deal and you are going to get more criticism over it.

Probably this week. I'd also like to know when they are going to announce the PS4 exclusive feature.

You guys do realize OS isn't really the intended audience of these videos, right?

I mean, are we really expecting in-depth info and/or straight-up gameplay from a YouTube commentator? A "popular" one at that?

Just saying, QJB is getting the opportunity to promote himself and his channel to his followers, while EA has the game promoted in a highly positively light to his followers, and YouTube in general.

Consider, for example, that in all the videos there was really nothing substantial presented, and then look at the Like/Dislike ratio and the comment sections. Not much negativity.

Re: Madden NFL 25 Next Gen Video - The Prototype (QJB)

The light at the end of the tunnel that is the drop of next-gen football gaming is dimly fading out into nothingness. I, as I am sure many others on this board can relate, have been supremely disappointed with what EA Sports has had to show thus far. This was supposed to be their "big break" that get all of us sim-gamers back into the fold. Instead we are relegated to more hype videos that, in all honesty, have nothing to hype from a second-hand source.

For shame...

Why do I care what is happening on the sideline, how in any way , shape or form does that bring ANYTHING to the game?

3 people putting their hands up, who cares, it's a video game, they are all going for the ball.

People complain about anything, I ben gaming since Atari then 10 yard fight and Tecmo Bowl on Nintendo. Like who cares, back then all we did was have fun period.

Could Madden be more next gen and add 100 things on the sideline and all of this other hoopla, I guess so but for about 90% of the world it just does't matter. For Next gen what we really want to see are Better graphics and physics, if they did this then game Won.

I remember now why I stopped coming to this site.......
