Left handed infielders? Sounds like a cool feature for RTTS and create a player for those lefties out there, but i'm hoping the game doesn't make them down the road in franchise via the draft. It would take away from the realism for me seeing a left handed SS. Seeing as there are zero left handed throwing 3B, SS, or 2B in the MLB.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Fact Sheet (PS Vita, PS3, PS4)

When you get done reading a list like this, all that comes to mind is the ignorance that flys around here regarding release dates. Admitedly, I was dissapointed that I wasn't getting the game in March but we need to remember that like anything else, there's always a process that needs to be followed through before releasing a product.

From what I see after reading this, it's pretty clear that with three platforms instead of two and on top of that gearing up for a console change, production was going to be a longer process.

Two things that get my attention:

1. Lefties as infielders. I like the concept except I have a concern. Because SCEA creations are randomly produced and this is an option, as our franchises and RTTS seasons advance, we're eventually going to see a plethora of left handed infielders, where in baseball today, it's as rare as rare can be. I mean there's a reason why we don't see it. It's a clear disadvantage. Except for first basemen of course, where I see it as a true advantage. This may be a little OCD of me but I'd prefer to see the league progress in a very real manner...

2.
Refined player generation, with more position-specific attribute ranges (Online Franchise)
New contract decision logic, which factors in contract renewable and arbitration status more heavily (Online Franchise)
New lineup logic that takes into account secondary positions (Online Franchise)
Refined trade logic (Online Franchise)
Retired players stored for every season (Online Franchise)
More player stats stored for every season (Online Franchise)
New user management functionality at TheShowNation.com (Online Franchise)
Make, accept, and vote on trades through TheShowNation.com (Online Franchise)
Resolve and simulate games on TheShowNation.com (Online Franchise)
League members can now manage games on TheShowNation.com (Online Franchise)

All of this stuff sounds great but the "(online franchise)" tag at the end of all these bullets has me a tad bit confused. If anyone could help me out that would be great. Does this mean these things were already applied to the PS3 version in franchise mode and had not yet made it to online franchise mode but are now applied there or do you need to be connected online to enjoy these features in your personal franchise? Because if these things don't already exist in regular offline franchise mode, why wouldn't they?

I'm curious if the franchise tweaks are in offline as well or this might just be bullets for improvements to the online mode.

And that's probably is the reason why.

But this is the most sim franchise around and we have to pretend like A ball doesnt exist.

That's just Unacceptable for me(Especially since it was around in the PS2 era)
