Re: More Madden NFL 15 Details Revealed

They are going to add a DL "modifier" for D-Line play, similar to what they added for running last year. (Clint Oldenburg has eluded to this coming before last years release)

I think that is great and should finally make playing D-Line/DE/OLB fun again (If it is implemented well). However, I will say it again, nothing matters until they integrate an all new locomotion system in the game, as well as a new animation engine.

Would be nice if you save highlights during your game and when others play their game they are shown during their halftime

Did next gen M25 at least make it so could save highlights in an online match? Or are we still waiting for that "all-new" feature?

It's obvious to me that the Kinect will be used to scan yourself into the game it will be one of EA's centerpieces.

It mentions teaming up with ESPN but tne thing I really don't want to see is a full ESPN broadcast presentation. While it would probably look really nice, I'd personally only want to see it for Monday Night games. It worked perfect for NCAA but there's only one game on ESPN in the NFL each week and then you throw in the fact that Nantz and Simms both do CBS games and it starts to become a bit messy. If they took old ESPN overlays and combine them into individual broadcasts for different games, that could be something interesting I think.

I started thinking about the Tony Bruno show and how awful, yet cool it was and how something could still work now. I wouldn't mind having something that resembles a radio show where somebody just talks about everything going on in the franchise. Scores, standings, leaders, etc. To me, that would be way better than a weekly highlight show.

The pre-game stuff has me way more intrigued than the halftime stuff. I've never really cared for a halftime show so there's not really much they're going to be able to do there that is going to keep me from button mashing through it. If they can achieve a good pre-game lead in though, then I'll be really happy. My only worry is that it will be tailored to play now games and as you move further into your franchise it will become irrelevant. Still wanting an in-game ticker showing scores and would much prefer that to game breaks of highlights.

I'm pretty sure that they said that they are teaming up with ESPN for the Cover Vote. I haven't seen it said that they are teaming with ESPN for presentation in the game.

"The release date was revealed in the first teaser trailer (seen below) for Madden NFL 15 and features Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly, who is the reigning Defensive Player of the Year. EA is promising the "most immersive defensive gameplay control in franchise history" with Madden NFL 15, as well as a new broadcast presentation, teaming up with ESPN again."

Madden NFL 15 Release Date Revealed
That is from an article on GameSpot if I'm not mistaken, and is attributable to the person who wrote the piece.

This is from EA's own blog and their own words. I would hope that they know more about their title than anyone else. The last paragraph is where they mention ESPN and it has nothing to do with presentation in-game:

"Madden NFL 15 delivers everything fans need to own their rivals on both sides of the field, including the most immersive defensive gameplay control in franchise history. Like the Super Bowl XLVIII champion Seattle Seahawks, you can win championships and bask in the glory of success by building a great defense fit to challenge the best offenses in the game.

Fans will also experience an entirely new broadcast presentation that delivers Madden NFL game day like never before with dramatic all-new camera angles, as well as dynamic pre-game and halftime features. It’s not just football, it’s Madden Season.

This year EA is once again collaborating with ESPN to give fans the opportunity to select which player will grace the cover of Madden NFL 15. In light of last year’s record-breaking vote, fans can look forward to a highly-competitive contest featuring some big-name matchups and intense rivalries. Fans can tune in to the NFL Draft on ESPN and NFL Network on May 8 at 8pm ET for a special Cover Vote announcement."
