This tweet refers in particular to Europe's situation.

Probably 2k never submitted patch for PAL versions of the game, just for US.

Now we know they just did.

And it makes sense, since it was released on pc yesterday.

It's simple as that.

There's a difference.

A friend of mine, who owns digital version of US game, and has Italian ps4, got the update, even if he's always logged in on his EU psn profile.

Instead, I tried to see if logging in with my US account and installing (not just running) again the game the update would be noticed. And there was no update available.

So it's clear the patch was initially released JUST for United States.

Hopefully now it's coming along, all over to Europe, as Tweets say.

Well, at least now that euro 2k has meantioned it. We can count on the patch for next week.

Well why didn't they say originally that the patch was only submitted to the US and ps4 only? Why are we only today officially hearing that the European patch has been submitted?

I'm sick not seeing any word from 2k about this. This whole patch release is a whole trainwreck. Hope they will learn for 2k16.

There can be various reasons.

First of all, there's a commercial partnership between 2k and Ps4.

If you notice, in 2kTV Episodes, players use Ps4 pad (see latest, MKG, clearly holding a PS4 gamepad)

Second, they maybe wanted to test it first, then spread it.

And it's very probable it went this way, since yesterday patch came to pc, today announced it's submitted to Sony/Microsoft.

Next step (and very soon, I hope): release.
